When I am wrong about someone, and it’s happened more than once, I instantly apologize or at least acknowledge that I was in the wrong. My intuition says that you march to a particular beat, lock step, and you see everything in black or white. Either someone believes exactly like you do or they’re your political enemy, sound about right? I don’t subscribe to your playbook and never will. I don't really consider myself leftist, but would agree that some things should be nationalized. There is no country in the modern world that is completely socialist or capitalist.

Really I don't care that much. I think Evan McMullin could have been a good president.

. . . and the NBC story is spin. All it is saying, is that the STATE is rejecting pressure from above, about what they should teach and shouldn't be mandated to teach in schools. It is preposterous to think that kids won't be taught about topics like slavery and the holocaust.

What puts a bug up the communists' ass? IS that there will be no mandates to local educators to have it presented in a way that they want it presented, in a lens framing it from today's perspective, as if the consciousness and social development of society is, and was, the same as it is today.

. . . they want it to be used as a social engineering issue, rather than what it is. . . HISTORY.

I usually disregard public education threads about what “they” teach. Claiming that all public teachers under all administrators within all US school systems with all parental input act as one is not accurate. Although many school systems do comply with specific federal agenda, but far from all, my state has voted down teaching CRT. Yet, USMB posters write that “all public schools are teaching critical race theory” which is a circular conversation that goes nowhere and is far from the truth. In my state and at least one neighboring state, 11th grade US history covers slavery.

States rights matter! If voters really care about the public schools in their area, they can do something about it. States Rights Over Federal Expansion! Now, there’s a tee shirt worth buying
