    why was Chicago named the windy city?

    A. Because her Politicians were all full of hot air?

    B. Because of the wind whipping off the great lakes thru the streets?

    I did not know this....always thought B was the answer....

    Yeah, it's because their politicians are known for giving long, drawn out speeches. (e.g. Barack Obama)
