Here's the rundown...the enviros shut down farming and ranching because it supposedly damages the land, and because it uses too much water. They do this in a variety of ways, using a variety of agencies. They claim that California is in the middle of a generations-long *drought* (in reality, it's just desert and always has been). They cap water sources, they fence off streams, they yank historic rights to water and pasture, they shoot ranchers, they arrest farmers, and they apply unrelenting pressure on the communities who live in rural areas and make use of public lands.

They overplant the trees, they destroy the access roads, they drag boulders as big as houses to historic and cultural gathering sites, and destroy those areas altogether...

Then when there are fires, they don't put them out. They *manage* them. Then they throw some poor schmucks in jail for *starting* them...

Meanwhile, they use up the water that could have been used to irrigate crops (which mostly don't burn up) and throw them on the fires that wouldn't exist if they hadn't created them.

Get rid of the USFS and the BLM. Eliminate the epa and deq. They are directly responsible for these fires, they are directly responsible for the sad state our public lands are in, and they are using these fires to bankrupt and destroy America.

Fire and Water in California

Smackdown: Adam Schiff gets schooled on his California green canards

California is in a vicious cycle of its own making. The tax base will shrink further each year for the foreseeable and costs will increase. My guess, based on the effects of the St. Lawrence Seaway on New York, it will take CA at least 25 years to reach a lower equilibrium and start growing again.

Meanwhile back in reality, 14,000 firefighters are “not” putting out fire in California as we speak. I guess they are playing pinochle.

Irrelevant..but thank you for bringing it up.

The USFS is perfectly okay with putting those brave men in danger, and they are even better with it when they die.

Because when firefighters die, they get more money and are able to close off more area.

It's a racket.

Obviously you nor the right wing dingbats bothered to read the report:

OP, if you could only read:

California Tree Mortality - Trees are dying (her link)

and in her link:

“Climate change is the biggest conservation challenge facing the Forest Service in the 21st century and contributing to global efforts that help forests mitigate and adapt to climate change is a priority for the Forest Service in California.” ~ Randy Moore, Pacific Southwest Regional Foreste

Actually my earlier post was and is relevant.
The Ds rely on large donors

Large donors want large estates

Fires create new large estates.
