The Walmart Family owns as much as nearly half the country

It blows my mind how house slave conservatives will do anything for their rich masters. Reading these poor ignorant pieces of garbage defend the uber-rich's evil bullshit in this country is maddening.
On the spot, Mr. Brunswick: :chillpill:

Two before bed, and call the doctor Monday morning. ;)

:D

I just proved that a WalMart heir gave $300,000 to an Obama super Pac, but fools like Balls don't have a problem sucking up to his rich masters.

I was watching a special and they were saying what the Walmart family owns is equal to what over 40% of Americans on the bottom of the economic ladder owns.

And remember when I said that food stamps are used as a business supplement because people raising a family on minimum wage - can't?

Remember how Republicans talked about how great is it working at Walmart? That if people would just get a job, they could get off foodstamps?

Wage and Hour Lawsuits against Wal-Mart Settled for over $350 Million - AboutLawsuits.com

Last week, Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. announced that they have agreed to pay between $352 million and $640 million to settle 63 wage and hour lawsuits filed against the retailer in 42 different states. The lawsuits accused the company of cheating hourly workers by forcing them to work through breaks and not paying them for overtime.

Remember before the election Republicans on this very site, suggested there is nothing wrong with corporations becoming more involved in government? That they want what's best for the country because they are profit driven? Even Mitt Romney said "Corporations are people my friend".

Earlier this month, Wal-mart agreed to pay $54.3 million to settle a wage and hour class action lawsuit brought on behalf of workers in Minnesota, after a judge found that the company had violated wage and hour laws more than 2 million times.

And Republicans on this very site want to shrink government to the point where it can be drowned in a bathtub and abolish all those stifling regulations.

How many Republicans have talked about abolishing the minimum wage?

This is why we have to be vigilant when it comes to the Republican Party. They are dangerous and full of the "gullible".

lol, they are dangerous and full of the gullible...MY GAWD you people elected a community organizer to be President, TWICE

The very definition of politician is "community organizer", fool.

I get the impression he'd only be happy with a guillotine.

Can anyone tell me how Obama became a 1 percenter? Who did he rip off?

He wrote a couple of best sellers. You know, "books". One of those things you find highly decorative but never bothered to open.

so is the Democrat Party Dean.....but you would not know because you are one of the "gullible"..........
I have to presume that some people on the forum believe that the supply of wealth is finite. Nothing the rich own precludes anyone else from being well off. I don't know about the rest of the country, but in our area (SE US) Walmart pay and benefits are the same as KMart, Target, Best Buy, Sears and all the other discount stores in the area. I see no reason to complain about the wages the market will bear. Don't forget, businesses are not social enterprises. They are in the business to make a profit. If they don't maximize their profits they are effectively stealing from their share holders, who are among other people the very people who are claimed to be paid low wages. My son started working in Walmart in 1986. Within a year his benefits kicked in and he was given options to buy stock, which he did. In the 26 years since he started, between his walmart stock and 401K he has retired and is enjoying his life with his wife and kids.

It's that same attitude that makes medical bills the number one cause of bankruptcy. That American helping American is "socialism".

People that work for minimum wage need food stamps. If you are already working full time and only getting minimum wage and food stamps, you can hardly afford college or jobs training. That is why the government, made up of "we the people" need to make sure why we need to invest in American citizens. Republicans call that socialism and hate education. We know that for sure. The Republicans path for this country is "back to the stone age".

Defend them from what? Do you and your ilk plan on robbing them? Why yes you do.

What have Waltons done that required them to be defended, other than incite the envy of a mob of losers like you?

Considering how the Republicans under control of the uber-rich in this country absolutely gangraped our economy and tax structure over the last few decades while completely slanting the wealth towards the top of the pyramid and pissing on everyone else, it amazes me that house slaves like you continue to defend these predatory practices. I want this country to have a more fair and even playing field like we did in the past before useful idiots like you were getting used by them. And it's obvious none of you dumb fucks are rich or even well off, which just confuses me even more.

The Waltons are probably more single-handedly responsible for gangraping our economy and making us China's bitch than any other one entity. That's why I'm angry.

Up to 80% of Walmart employees in some stores get food stamps, they work like ants towards an early grave and still qualify for food stamps. America is subsidizing low wages up and down the franchise strip in every town in America. If America did not do this I have doubts anyone could afford to work at these places or, gasp!, these places might have to pay more. A walmart employee flies in the face of the stereotypical worthless, lazy food stamp recipient, those people have to work under condidtions most of us could not endure for a week, never mind the years it takes to maybe get promoted into management and maybe get off the public dole.

We elected a Senator... and then reelected a President.

He was a community organizer in his past, and there's nothing wrong with that. Do you not realize that "community organizer" is a good thing to regular SANE people?

Ain't that the truth, I remember a story years ago when Rubbermaid closed down American operations and moved to Mexico. A company spokesman cited pressure by Walmart to sell to them cheaper every year, year after year, as the only reason that they packed up and went south.

I seriously doubt that Wally World has anything at all to do with why you're angry....They're just the targets of that anger.

Seriously, I mean... are these people fucking brain dead? They cite history that doesn't exist and they excitedly cheer on their class being destroyed. Do they think these rich fucks are going to break them off a piece because they jump to put their cocks in their mouth? Am I watching political prostitution? The psychology of these people is utterly fascinating.
