YOU are a fool. They will target anyone who seems suspicious. and obscuring your appearance by keeping your hoodie on when going through security is a SURE way to get special screening treatment

Why is taking pictures suspicious in any way? Did someone forget the 1st Amendment again?

LOL sorry buy in a post 9/11 World. Hanging around outside an Airport taking pictures in a hoodie is suspicious. They must error on the side of caution IMO.

Why? Can you point to a single attack that was based on someone taking pictures, or is that just something that law and order types try to scare me with?

No I can't so are you saying we should only defend against attacks we have seen before, or maybe we should try and stop ones we have not thought of yet. Most attacks were however preceded by RECON missions.

No, I am saying we should not hassle innocent people, period. Until someone actually kills someone with a camera I am going to think of it as a device for taking pictures, not a weapon.
How incredibly Naive of you. The Camera is not a weapon it is a tool to gather intel on a target, and has been used as such on many occasions both by Terrorist and Military's, add to that the guy is wearing a hoodie and you have at least reasonable suspicion to check the dude out. Franky I rather have a few innocent people hassled for a bit than another successful Major attack on our shores.
Those who would give up Essential Liberty to purchase a little Temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety.

Naive?
Pointing out that we have a constitutional right to take pictures is naive?

No pretending that we would never stop a potential attack by asking some questions to a person in a hoodie taking pics of an airport. Is Naive. The 9/11 attackers Did recon you know. Read the story they asked some questions detained for a bit and let them go. Hardly the same as taking away their constitution right to take some pictures.
