The TSA I Getting Out Of Control

Security at airports was private before 9/11.

And was security part of the TSA? As far as I know, the TSA has always been government as they were created after 9/11. I might be incorrect but I don't think so. Hence why I said that it had nothing to do with the unions or anything of that nature. It had to do with the creation of the TSA (a government entity) to protect people from the bogyman.

So what's your point???

That the very fact of the government stepping in and taking over a program out of fear and no thought as to what we lost in the process has destined this program to be a corrupted failure from the get go. The TSA should never even have occurred in the first place. I don't blame this one on Obama, he did not create the program. He just failed to end it.

The TSA does almost nothing and yet is entirely too invasive. It needs to be abolished altogether and replaced with a reasonable security system. It is a sad joke that the passengers need to fend off more attacks then the TSA does.

The TSA started going south once it was taken over and unionized by Obama.

The TSA was a bad idea from the start. So was "homeland security". I mean really, anybody else thinking about the Nazi homeland?

Terrorism is real. The TSA does nothing to protect us from terrorism. As a general rule, the passengers are more likely to stop that than the TSA is at this point.

The TSA... the republican way of protecting us from terrorism. The patriot act...the republican way of protecting us from terrorism.

Binladen...dead. The Democrat way of protecting us from terrorism. Nine dead pirates and two rescued hostages... the democrat way of protecting us from terrorism.

It seems pretty clear cut to me.

The Palestinians name a street after an American Christian.

Where is the hate that the propagandists always talk about.

The guy who said that you can't have lint, or "anything" in your pockets lied to you.

Also - before this past year, I had no clue what Rand Paul even looked like. Pardon them that he sent the sensor off and then declined a search, I mean, who really "started it," as far as the "scene" was concerned?

Hey, disagree that we need the TSA. Go for it. But they're there for now, and buying a ticket means you voluntarily made yourself susceptible. Nation of laws, and all that. Personal choice, and all that. etc.

This is nowhere as big a deal as people make it out to be.

Let it happen to you, and then get back to us. Exactly what Rand Paul described, happened to me, not once, but twice. It was humiliating to say the least. They do this in front of everyone, and then place you in a glass cubicle for as long as they feel like it

LMAO! I told you ex bushies that this is what would happen when you called me unamerican for not supporting the Patriot Act and such.

Waah! Keep us safe!

So you don't care what warped direction the current administration takes the Patriot Act?

You get frigged by somebody at the airport and just laugh about it cuz we asked for it according to you?

You sound like one those retards that say we had 9/11 coming to us. Our chickens are coming home to roost in essence.

The TSA is currently being run by Democraps Dip-Shit.

I guess it wasn't such a deterrant if you came back for more.

I had to get to where I had to get to. Then I had to get home, shees

So you sacrificed your deep values for a mere convenience?

They want you to accept the butt-reaming they give you at the airport.

"Stop complaining. Take it and then ask for seconds."

It's how progressives, socialists, marxists, or communists train the public to be obedient. They don't want you screaming "Help, I'm being oppressed!!!!!", every time they take another freedom away.

Nonsense. Obama had nothing to do with it.

Any type of extreme invasion of privacy = rights going south.

I cannot see any terrorists coming up from Mexico. They might get shot.
Are you on fucking crack. Do you know how many former Border Patrol agents are in prison or are being sued because they shot ARMED intruders who took aim or shot at them?
Obama wants nothing to do with border security. He wants amnesty and an open border with Mexico.

Convenience. It is a way to get from point A, to point B in as little time as possible.

Sacrificed? I was just going from one side of the country to another. packed and dressed accordingly.

They put their hands on me. Invaded my body in a way in which my friends would not even be allowed to. put me on their proverbial stage.

I hope it happens to you, if and when you fly, just so you can experience the humiliation that I and many others have felt, having our privacy and personal space invaded. This is so anti freedom, it stinks to high heaven. But then again, I have always kinda liked the Bill of Rights

Their reason for doing this to me? They claim because I had a blazer jacket on :eusa_eh:

Actually i think the TSA was a very good idea. They do need to make people pass though some kind of security.

However... the fear of being accused of targeting any certain group... or offending any certain group... the TSA's hands got effectively tied.

They need better people with better training.

Susceptible? No. A suspect. That is the problem.
TSA workers( I refuse to call them agents or officers because they are not professionals) are low end, uneducated, non professional non-law enforcement.
IMO no TSA security should have ....less than a 2 year degree in one of the criminal sciences. Or Basic law enforcement training AND specialty training in dealing with paying customers. OR are former law enforcement with a minimum of 5 years law enforcement experience.
Pay these people good salaries combine that with experienced professionals and these horror stories will cease.
If air travel passengers are aware that the person at the security gate is a professional, they will be far less apt to object to the procedures. JMHO.
