The Siege of Crimea has Begun

Russia's single-use soldiers.

There was a Russian convict by the name of Evgeny Nuzhin. He was in jail for a murder. He had served 24 years of what was apparently a 28 year sentence when he was recruited by Wagner to go to Ukraine.

He was detailed to collect bodies- his group was sent to the front lines and hid in trenches by day and crawled out to collect bodies by night. The first day there were 16 of them. The second day there were 9. He decided to bug out.

He surrendered, and he was interviewed and a video was posted. He wanted to join the Russian legion in the AFU, but the AFU didn't want him and exchanged him back to Russia.

The Russians handed him back to Wagner. A few days ago they posted a video of them killing him by bashing his head in with a sledgehammer.

If the United States thinks they are turning Crimea into another Ukraine there is a whole other level of fighting on their hands. Crimeans despise Ukraine. They consider them Nazis who are Eurostepchildren.

Crimea has been Russia's for 250 years
so what ? It was Greek, Ottoman much longer . Crimea is Ukraine.

United Nations General Assembly Resolution 68/262
was adopted on 27 March 2014 by the sixty-eighth session of the United Nations General Assembly in response to the Russian annexation of Crimea and entitled "territorial integrity of Ukraine". ...., affirmed the General Assembly's commitment to the territorial integrity of Ukraine within its internationally recognized borders and underscored the invalidity of the 2014 Crimean referendum.

United Nations has no jurisdiction or power over anything in the world

Several weeks ago I was listening to someone being interviewed about Russia's likely use of Nuclear Weapons. He did not believe they would use them except in one place. He said that if Russia believed Crimea was going to be taken from them, he believed they would use nukes. (of course that would also be true of an attack on Russia.)

If not Russia, the Russians living in Crimea would. If they could. The hatred of the Crimeans for Ukraine exceeds anything I have seen up to now.

Not true. In 1991 the USSR recognized Crimea as part of the sovereign state of Ukraine and in 1994 Russa signed the Budapest Memorandum which also recognized Crimea as part of the sovereign state of Ukraine and Russia pledged to never violate Ukraine's borders.
