The Shiva-Trump Premonition

Here's a short-story I wrote about Shiva (Hindu god of destruction) descending on Earth and touring and discovering a strange face of culture and democracy (perhaps symbolic of our consumerism-atheist 'TrumpUSA').

Lord Shiva descended upon Earth and divided himself to become two young men (Alastair and Stan) and two young women (Shelbye and Danica). The four (the 'Quartet') wandered around America aimlessly looking for something interesting to do and found some temporary excitement talking with President Bill Clinton and First Lady Hillary Clinton about the troubles in Ireland (regarding British rule and Belfast IRA complications). The Quartet then headed to Northern California and enjoyed some great wine and remarked that Americans had surpassed France.

Finally, the Quartet landed in a quiet suburban area of New Jersey which featured closely-packed houses and charming sunset walks and sunrise joggers. The Quartet noticed something was just not right about this offbeat New Jersey suburb. People in the neighborhood seemed very quiet and non-social and conversed only about very practical matters (e.g., taxes, municipal clean-ups, visiting politicians, etc.). The Quartet soon discovered that the neighborhood was home to a practicing Satanic cult known as The Ninth Gate. They found evidence of some bizarre animal-ritual totems as well as gems signifying a worship of minerals and gold.

The Quartet continued investigating and further discovered that Donald Trump, owner of the Trump Taj Mahal casino in Atlantic City (New Jersey) was camping out there, and the Quartet conjectured that in fact, Trump intended to use the Satanic neighborhood as a political-operating base to plan his future presidential campaign. Stan and Danica remarked that Trump was very shrewd to lobby the unusual voting sector of American society, while Alastair and Shelbye suggested they collect what necessary notes they needed regarding Satanism in America and get the hell out of there (and Stan and Danica agreed!).

When Shiva ascended back to heaven, he remembered the fun adventures of the Quartet and missed enjoying delicious New England clam chowder and conversing with President Clinton and his wife. However, he never forgot that eerie Satanic neighborhood in New Jersey where he found Donald Trump planning a shrewd political campaign. Shiva concluded that America was simultaneously a land of 'pluralism intrigue' and 'political hand-shaking.' He wondered what would become of the Trump Taj Mahal casino if Donald Trump was elected as U.S. President and decided he would descend again as the Quartet to oversee the casino operations while Trump served as the leader of the world's foremost capitalist 'empire.'

Chapter 2: Fabletics


Here's an addendum regarding the potential consumerism-politics linked to the fitness-gear company Fabletics and images/ideas regarding TrumpUSA cynicism on the Internet.

Shiva's premonition came true, and Donald Trump was elected as U.S. President in 2016. The media was in a flurry, since Trump's controversial and incendiary presidential campaign ruffled feathers and offended many (including ethnic minorities living in the USA). The American movie-star Kurt Russell (Escape from New York) was busy negotiating a celebrity-gauged eco-activism campaign with American movie-star Leo DiCaprio (The Beach) and his environmentalism organization The Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation (since President Trump had conspicuously left out much eco-consciousness talk in his political promises). Russell was concerned that America's preoccupation with consumerism-culture (e.g., Starbucks, Facebook, Wall Street, etc.) was creating a culture of moral apathy (especially since his daughter actress-turned-fitness-guru Kate Hudson was now a prominent media-personality and would be affected by the media's seeming neglect of vital issues regarding consumerism temperance).

Hudson's fitness-gear company Fabletics had become very popular, and Russell was worried what the anti-America pro-terrorism sentiments from the Middle East would mean for young American women being showcased in the media in any form. Russell wanted to use the 'eco-activism angle' to urge Americans (and perhaps even President Trump) to answer the criticisms of fundamentalist Islamic terrorist groups such as ISIS that American culture was completely neglecting issues relevant to globalization and post-industrialization commerce (e.g., European Union). Meanwhile, an idealistic Internet-blogging self-proclaimed 'pro-democracy crusader' named Ajay Satan (a graduate of Yale University) was, like Russell, interested in using the media (the Internet) to advocate a more vigilant attitude towards 'consumerism politics.' Ajay's radical Internet posts drew the attention of ISIS agents perusing the World Wide Web, especially when Ajay started citing Russell's advocacy of eco-activism and what it would mean spiritually for the reputation/prestige of Russell's daughter's fitness-gear company Fabletics.

ISIS sent a special computer hacker named Ali Khan to America to investigate the Internet marketing of Fabletics as well as Russell's activities with the eco-conscious Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation. Ali wanted to infiltrate Ajay's Internet blogs and corrupt Fabletics-Facebook links as well as intrude on special messages posted on DiCaprio's eco-activism website. Ali's task was to create domestic turbulence on the World Wide Web and evade detection by the NSA's cyber-division and in doing so help ISIS make arguments such as, "Americans are not interested in industrialization-related eco-pollution and are therefore not interested in securing/stabilizing symbolic modern age consumerism-related infrastructures such as the Internet." While Ali was busy conducting his nefarious Internet-hacking activities, Ajay decided to try to meet Kurt Russell and arrange an interview with his daughter Kate Hudson about her lifestyle-conscious fitness-gear company Fabletics (so he could do a special politics-oriented blog about the company on the Internet). Ajay and Ali were about to contend with each other in a special 'Internet-traffic war,' which prompted Lord Shiva to make the wry comment, "Consumerism-traffic is creating real paranoia!"
