To be fair, they haven't let Lucas within 12 parsecs of a 'Star Wars' movie in over a decade.

That being said, as someone who saw the originals on the big screen, I can't get excited about the new movies. When 'Star Wars' premiered in 1977 it was truly something new and different. There hadn't been a major SciFi blockbuster since '2001 A Space Odyssey' nearly a decade earlier and that film, as good as it was, would be considered unwatchable by today's standards. 'Star Wars' was a whole new experience.

But, there is nothing new or ground-breaking about the new 'Star Wars', just more of the same with yawn-inducing dialogue and mediocre CGI. Watching 'Star Wars' today is like having sex with your old wife ... it will NEVER be as exciting as it once was.
