As I explained, the mufti was hand picked and installed by the British, who later regretted their choice. He was not truly a representative of the Palestinians, and i can't think what such a claim could be based on, actually. Apparently he rebuffed his own people with threats of violence. He admired Hitler's rabble-rousing abilities and evidently that was what he sought to emulate.

But I never heard him mentioned by Palestinians at all. it seems that Zionists keep harping on him because there has been no one else in 60+ years that they can point to in order to "substantiate" their dubious allegations.
