Total lie....All that did was adjust the withholding rates, not the tax rates. Anyone can get the same "tax cut" by increasing the number of dependents on your W-4.

We are a capitalistic society, at least we were before the socialist took over. It's the freedom to go to work make money and spend it the way you want. It is also the FREEDOM to open your own business, to prosper and grow and expand your business so you can hire more people under the capitalistic system so they can grow and prosper. Of course, you are most likely on some government dole, most libs are, you pay no taxes and are just okay-ka-do-kay with other people paying for you.

His dudeness is claiming, as others have in this forum, that the withholdings were reduced but the same total tax was due payable at the end of the year. It's being compared to claiming 4 dependents at the beginning of the year, but filing 2 dependents at the end. In short, he claims the tax cut was just borrowing a little from your tax return each pay period.

I do not think that's true. I've never heard it claimed anywhere except by Cons on this board. Unfortunately I can't stick around and find out, got thangs to do. But that is what these men are claiming....

The propaganda tide is about to shift. The focus on the Tea Party about what they are protesting versus what has occured and what has not occured is going to devastate the republican chances in November.

The Tea party says that taxes are high, but they are actually lower than they have been under any Republican President for the last 40 years. This includes Reagan tax policies when he was trying to reduce them from Eisenhower level(who happen to have on of the highest tax rates in American history. Thanks mainly to paying off WWII and Korea plus beginning the space program.)

The Tea Party says Obama is weak on terrorism, yet Obama has yet to remove many of the key Bush anti-terrorists policies. When conservatives point out that any success that Obama gains in the fight against is main due to Bush. They are right. I hope they do not forget to accept the blame as well for any failures not due to Obama's policies in the fight against terrorism, if there are any.

The Tea Party also states that the government is trying to take over the insurance industry. They point to the auto industry as examples of nationalism under Obama. Unfortunately, both are not true and exaggerated. First, yes the government has ownership in the auto industry--but this is due to the auto industry asking the government for aid. Remember if this was only Leftist desperately trying to take over the industry, Ford would be apart of Government motors. Instead an option was presented in which happily opted out of. GM and Chrysler was facing complete failure an took the option in order to save their corporation. Second--every argument that republicans push to describe how the government will take over the insurance companies actually is a description on how the health insurance will cease to exist. In other words, they do not describe "nationalism" but the market extinction of a middle man due to economic forces and government policies. Also understand that medical research is performed mainly by the hospitals and Health industry companies, the majority of research performded by insurance companies is market reserch; they can profit regardeless of the medical technology at the time ad have
