The Life of Pi by Yann Martel is one of the best book's I've ever read. It drags a tiny bit in the beginning because the author needs to insert himself a little too much for my tastes, but once the tale begins in earnest it is impossible to put the book down.

Pi is a young Indian who get shipwrecked and spends 7 months in a 26 foot lifeboat with a 450 lb Bengal Tiger.

Absolutely gripping story.

I've read the book a few years ago and was also fascinated. The movie is supposed to come out soon (or did it already?) so I think I might enjoy it again.

The movie comes out in November and it looks like it totally blows, they went more for amazing special effects than for the story.

All we need is Jar Jar Binks to show up on the lifeboat
