The aim of capitalism is money. There are other aims that society must look to and capitalism has shown its ugly side already.
The aim of capitalism is of course profit, but it also has the aim of private ownership of capital which the individual creates for himself. Without this capitalistic incentive it is doubtful that America would be the star it is. Why make money if you can't keep it?
Some people are just more creative and more skillful managers than others and therefore they make more money as a result of their efforts. Socialists are against that kind of individual success. They want everybody to have a piece of the pie that was created through the toil and sweat of an individual who created and carried his company to the point of success. They think that the employees are due "their share" of the profits even though they did not share in the creative process and the overhanging risk and they would have just left the company for another job if the owner did not come up with their paychecks.
Forcing an arbitrary increase of wages is a form of socialism. Let the market dictate wages just as it dictates the success or failure of an individual enterprise.
