I have seen a couple of those. Need to check out the Big Street and Little Miss Marker. I do enjoy Guys and Dolls if I am in the mood.

Big Street has Henry Fonda, and Lucille Ball, (in a serious role)

hard to beat
 
Has there ever been a decent version of Huck Finn ?
Its an immense piece of work but the films I have seen tend to reduce it to a kids work.
 
Best one I remember is the 1931 version, with Mickey Rooney.

But, I haven't seen all of them.

(esp the Japanese ones)
