While it was "necessary" to vaccinate health care workers, pregnant women, and school children FIRST, "there should be enough" vaccine available to cover everybody, so "just be patient" if you can't get your vaccination right away. "I care most about my family", he said, and "want them" vaccinated first, but 'I care about you too, the listener, and want you around as well".

i never understood the panic about flu vaccines.

I have never had a flu shot and don't plan on getting one. seriously, I've had the flu less than 5 times in my entire life. Friends of mine who get their flu shots religiously every year also seem to get the flu every year.

I personally have serious concerns about the swine flu vaccines, but I can't say that I think it's a bio-weapon. It DOES have 25,000 times more mercury in it than the FDA currently says is safe for foods, so that's a definite concern. Another is that the adjuvant "squalene" (the accelerator that supposedly makes it much more potent without needing as much actual active ingredient) has been determined to be a contributor to Gulf War Syndrome, where squalene was a new ingredient to Anthrax shots that were administered to our military.

And the fact that it's being rushed out without a standard rigor of testing is actually horrifying. I work on the regulatory end of pharma and biopharm and it's frightening enough when all of the pieces are in place for a normal manufacturing and distribution effort under a normal schedule. But a rush job? I have about zero confidence that the final process and product is a like for like match with the intended use, and I have less confidence that the manufacturing controls and quality assurance methods have even been properly defined, let alone implemented. They've probably taken existing procedures and methods from another process and dropped them under a new header for the new vaccines.

In my opinion, based on the known timeline when manufacturers like Sanofi began production on swine flu vaccines, and knowing the needs for process development, process line and facility construction and/or retrofit, system qualification (detailed and rigoruos testing and analysis per regulatory requirements of installation, operation, cleaning, media studies, packaging, storage, shipping, the manufacturing process, quality procedures, maintenance/change controls, corrective action planning and reporting etc etc etc), I have no confidence that these vaccines are a safe or effective solution. And those concerns don't even cover the requirements for clinical testing and all of it's associated phases.

I've worked on nearly identical processes that take anywhere from 3-4 years to complete - on a fast-track schedule. They want the entire country to take a vaccine that was brought from concept to delivery in less than six months.

I don't think so.

Now I understand where you're coming from. You only accept the corporate funded/government explanation. We both know there are many studies that link autism to mercury in vaccines. They're the ones that aren't funded by the vaccine manufacturers.

You didn't answer any of my other concerns about manufacturing and regulation. Why not?

What these people don't understand is that the government is planning to use them once fast-track manufacturing and trials have been completed.
