The memos just declassified describing the Bush/Cheney authorization of torture by the military and the CIA show that getting the programs established for intense and abusive interrogations of terrorist suspects was forward thinking by that administration. Instead of waiting for the need to legalize torture to run through the legal system, Bush and his gang saw to it that they were well prepared in advance to get the information they wanted, when they needed it. As more and more classified material is released, it will prove to all Americans that the GOP knows how to get things done.
The Republicans have shown that they do not wait for an event, they legalize methods that until they need them are illegal, and then they torture who they want and get the intelligence they want. The accuracy of that intelligence is unimportant; it just needs to support their agenda.
Heck of a job you guys, I am certain your staunch supporters will defend and justify every one of your criminal acts. They always do.
