The problem for the EU is that it is hitting stall speed and if it sides with China it will lose tariff free access to the US and Japan almost certainly with a great likelihood plus a really good chance of losing access to ASEAN and India. Macron is refusing to make a trade deal with any country that doesn't drink the koolaid of AGW. This could get real dicey for the EU.
 
Most of what is now the EU will be the European Caliphate in 10-15 years.

possibly but not certainly. Much of the EU has been fighting Islam for five centuries. Then there are the outliers like Spain, Montenegro, Romania and Greece that fought the Caliphate for even longer periods.
