    who cares what the goddamn DOW is doing? unemployment is still going crazy.. good luck finding a decent job here in michigan!:doubt:

    Well, the DOW is an index of some of the biggest US companies and thus a reflection of our economy.

    up..down..up..down..up.. Hmm.. i think some people think the DOW being over 9,000 is PROOF of economic recovery. i think they are WRONG!:cuckoo:

    Yes, of course an industrial average rally does not an economy make. No doubt companies who increase efficiency and cut payroll/jobs tend to see their stock prices increase. Still, I wouldn't say "who cares about the DOW" as if it doesn't matter whether our industries thrive. :lol:

    Hasn't unemployment in many areas of Michigan been a problem for(just about)ever
