I have been to Israel several times. It reminds me a great deal of Apartheid South Africa, which I also visited just before the end of Apartheid and afterwards. In the business related venues I frequented in both countries, the Arabs and the non-whites in Israel and South Africa were not evident, and those that were, remained in the background. Both Tel Aviv and Capetown seemed like European cities. In both countries when alone with Israeli Jews or South African whites, racism was rampant in most discussions with the other party assuming that I was just as racist as they were.
