I am for voting the old establishment GOP members out and replacing them with new conservatives who oppose uncontrolled spending. However keep in mind we may have to spend money to keep up with the Chinese military. We also have to replace the arms we have provided to Ukraine.

We have the ability to fight anywhere in the world. China doesn’t at this time. They might even find invading Taiwan more difficult than they imagined.

However it is better to spend money on a strong military that deters the enemy than to fight a war with a weak military. The best defense is a good offense.

We do need to be careful not to spend money on equipment that would have worked great in previous wars. Times change and the art of warfare evolves. Russia is finding out that what worked in previous conflicts isn’t working well in Ukraine.

I tend to worry most about my reps in Congress. In the Senate Marco Rubio and Rick Scott represent Florida and are not part of the Bujsh/Cheney faction of the Party. They both opposed the 1.5 trillion dollar spending package while Mitch McConnell, the Republican Senate Minority Leader, voted for it.

Hardworking Americans, and poor families like mine growing up, are struggling more than ever, but Democrats just keep spending,” Scott said.

“Of course, not everything in this bill is awful. I fully support providing aid to Ukraine. I fought to fast track this aid all week and went to the floor earlier today asking for an immediate vote on it. Heartless Chuck Schumer commanded his members to block a vote on this critically important aid so he could hold it hostage in the Omnibus. Delaying aid to help Ukraine fight to protect its freedom and democracy from Putin’s savage tyranny so it could be used as a political tool is heartless even for Washington,” Scott added. “I’m voting against this bloated spending bill because to greenlight yet another trillion-dollar bill with no review and no accountability is not just irresponsible, it’s dangerous.”
