Im not posting this to incite a discussion of racial hate but rather hopefully to have a cohesive debate on the relevance of profiling based on facts..... Are our law enforcement professionals really being allowed to do their jobs??

    Fantastic post!

However, it was obviously written by a racist organization that does not have the truth as a priority. (j/k)

Now...I wonder if we will hear anything about this in the MSM...or Jesse...or Al...or Charlie....

Blacks who commit crimes only do so because the White Man has held them down for 200 years...it's their way of 'speaking out'...'expressing themselves'.

I think no news medium dependent on advertising for income would dare to print these statistics. They are not new, and many of them have been posted on this board before, but the internet is the only place I ever see them.

Okay, so if there are 5 times as many whites as blacks, doesn't that mean that blacks would be 5 times as likely to pick whites as victims, and whites are 1/5 as likely to pick blacks?

Of course, this alone doesn't explain the numbers, I won't debate that blacks are (statistically) more criminal than whites, but, NO, those numbers shouldn't be reversed. The author is very confused.

The reason for this doesn't have anything to do with population numbers and it isn't because blacks are an inferior race. It's because of history and culture. Slaves were brought here out of barbarism and then freed out into white society having absolutely no preconception of how things worked. Now, as tends to happen in situations like that, the majority of blacks live immersed in a subculture that is often looked upon as inferior and poor. Being born into a life like that is an uphill battle all the way against economic factors, racism, ignorance and mainstream culture. Some make it through, the majority don't. It's sad.

I wish Bill Cosby's message had been more widely accepted because he made a lot of good points about the state of African American culture today. The media plays a big part in sustaining negative images of black culture. Many believe that their only way out is through rap or sports. Since the failure rate is high in both of those, many turn to drugs, gangs and/or crime.

Can people really be held responsible for partaking in the culture they are born into? Or will the culture have to change to facilitate any real individual change?
