What a dummkopf . I live on about 90 acres of wooded land. Once a year I have someone from the University of Wisconsin, forestry extension, walk through the land with me. I live on the edge of the Kettle Moraine's so the land is not flat, hilly but no real big hills. Trees die and fall down. Most often, the agent tells me to let it stay as it is part of the forests growing cycle.

Preventing forest fires is my goal. During the spring, I have people cut up some of these fallen trees and use them for fire wood during the year. Every 5 years I have a company harvest and replant sections. Nobody in their right mind though has ever recommended raking.
