After four decades as curator of the Arizona Military Museum in Phoenix, 80-Year-Old Vietnam Vet Joe Abodeely was forced to step down and the museum was closed by the Arizona National Guard.

Despite repeated warnings, while guiding tour groups through the museum Abodeely would make offensive comments. In a letter complaining about his behavior, it was reported that Abodeely, “used profanity on the tour, called ‘all Americans’ stupid, and ‘told the members of the tour group that they knew nothing of the realities of the Vietnam era because they were too young, brainwashed, stupid, duped, uneducated, or uncaring.’”

“Shortly after the letter went public, he was ordered to go through diversity, equity, and inclusion training by the Arizona National Guard.” Sadly, poor old Joe didn’t take the warnings or the sensitivity training seriously and continued his questionable rants at the tourists.
