After reading this article we would like to hear what others think about this apartheid nonsense.

A Kabbalat Shabbat was supposed to take place at the Chicago LGBTQ conference last Friday, but it was canceled by the organizers, and after being hit with criticism from the Anti-Defamation League, the cancelation was canceled. Except that when the Kabbalat Shabbat began, hundreds of hooligans from the forces of progress barged in. It happened, among other reasons, due to the participation of a representative from the Jerusalem Open House for Pride and Tolerance, Sarah Kala-Meir. The cries of “apartheid” were joined with, as always, the leading slogan: “From Jordan to the sea, Palestine will be free.”

The useful idiots, gays and lesbians donning keffiyehs, have never seemed more pathetic. After all, each and every one of them would have been thrown off a tall building, like a bag of potatoes, in nearly every single one of Israel’s neighboring countries. But their problem is with Israel.

What causes this madness?

The question is, what the hell is the source of this madness, which comes from the fringes and spreads like a cancer to the middle. To understand that, we need to look at the hooligans’ reasoning. The familiar tune. We have to think back at Haaretz’s front page headline in October of 2012, which declared that “Most Israelis support the apartheid regime in the country.” This wasn’t just any article. It was the main headline on the front page. It made waves in the world in a matter of hours.

There is no parallel with apartheid. On the one hand the palestinians are under restrictions because of their violent nature. On the other it was the SA who attempted to subjugate the Native Africans.

The Judean people are native to the area, the pali's according to Monty are of European descent. I'd have never guesses but he brought it up in another thread, I'd suggest they come from one of the two colonial periods in Arab Muslim history, the majority in the early 20th century and the minority some time around the 9th century CE.

No matter how you slice it, there is no comparison

It's good PR, and it's been mouthed by Jimbo Carter and many others. It's inaccurate, but whatevah. It works!

To deny that Israel is an apartheid state is absurd.

The only people who claim that it isn't are zionist jews and evangelical christians. ....... :cool:

And the only people that say it is are neo marxiats and islamonazis. And not once have any of either group produced any evidence of apartheid in Israel so derail the threads asking and then shout out racism and apartheid all over again.

Does Israel allow non Jews to hole positions of authority YES

Does Israel allow non Jews to be elected to parliament YES

Does Israel have separate areas for no Jews based on race or religion NO

So the 3 most telling aspects of apartheid have been destroyed

Its unfortunate that some people actually rely on these kinds of tactics to maintain their views. When opinions are based on truth then its so much easier to reason with whatever differences there might be, but when opinions are based on lies and bigotry then its impossible to reason at all until those lies are dispelled and the bigotry realized for what it is.

Which is the reason these kinda people simply can't be reasoned with

Mufti-and-Hitler.jpg

The accusations of apartheid are just more propaganda, another buzz word run up the pole designed to create an emotional response from ignorant people, easily manipulated.

The reality of the situation is however, in almost every regard when considering the pali narative, very nearly the exact opposite. Israel has made every effort to include its Arab minority within its normal political process in so far as is practicable due to security and the safety of its other citizens.

The restrictions that those kinda people would prefer to label apartheid are in fact a response to 65 years or so of constant attacks and senseless violence and in no way represent the policies of an apartheid state.

Phoenall, Boston1, et al,

Don't waste you time on such accusations. But in reality, this is merely an attempt to create a dispute. They change the definition of "Apartheid" to fit their agenda. They cannot make these outrageous claims and use the legal definition of "Apartheid." ( "The crime of apartheid" means inhumane acts of a character similar to those referred to in paragraph 1, committed in the context of an institutionalized regime of systematic oppression and domination by one racial group over any other racial group or groups and committed with the intention of maintaining that regime. )

(c) Enslavement;
• "Enslavement" means the exercise of any or all of the powers attaching to the right of ownership over a person and includes the exercise of such power in the course of trafficking in persons, in particular women and children;
(d) Deportation or forcible transfer of population;
• "Deportation or forcible transfer of population" means forced displacement of the persons concerned by expulsion or other coercive acts from the area in which they are lawfully present, without grounds permitted under international law;
(e) Imprisonment or other severe deprivation of physical liberty in violation of fundamental rules of international law;

(f) Torture;

• "Torture" means the intentional infliction of severe pain or suffering, whether physical or mental, upon a person in the custody or under the control of the accused; except that torture shall not include pain or suffering arising only from, inherent in or incidental to, lawful sanctions;
(g) Rape, sexual slavery, enforced prostitution, forced pregnancy, enforced sterilization, or any other form of sexual violence of comparable gravity;

(h) Persecution against any identifiable group or collectivity on political, racial, national, ethnic, cultural, religious, gender as defined in paragraph 3, or other grounds that are universally recognized as impermissible under international law, in connection with any act referred to in this paragraph or any crime within the jurisdiction of the Court;

(j) The crime of apartheid;
• "The crime of apartheid" means inhumane acts of a character similar to those referred to in paragraph 1, committed in the context of an institutionalized regime of systematic oppression and domination by one racial group over any other racial group or groups and committed with the intention of maintaining that regime;
(k) Other inhumane acts of a similar character intentionally causing great suffering, or serious injury to body or to mental or physical health.

As has often been pointed out, the claim that Israel has a policy of systematic oppression of one RACIAL GROUP over an other RACIAL GROUP flies in the face that Israel is more ethnically diverse than the Arab Palestinians. The domination expressed is a misrepresentation of the security measures and actions taken to counter and offset another threat made by a solemn declaration before the United Nations, before God and history, that they will never submit or yield to any power going to Palestine to enforce partition. The domination expressed is a misrepresentation of the security measures and actions taken present reasonable precautions against the call to Jihad by the Arab Palestinian Leadership. And the domination expressed is a misrepresentation of the security measures and actions taken to address actual acts by Arab Palestinian Jihadist, Fedayeen, Terrorist, Insurgent, and other asymmetric forces, that violate the Hague Regulations, the Geneva Convention, Customary and International Humanitarian Law in the use of extreme fear in order to coerce the Israeli People relative to the demands conforming to the Arab Palestinian Political Agenda; and the use techniques, such as, hijacking, bombing, diplomatic kidnapping and assassination -- to assert their demands.
Finally, the actions critized by the Arab Palestinians were made necessary to comply with the Article 43 of the Hague Regulation:

The authority of the legitimate power having in fact passed into the hands of the occupant, the latter shall take all the measures in his power to restore, and ensure, as far as possible, public order and safety, while respecting, unless absolutely prevented, the laws in force in the country.

Most Respectfully,
R

Ignoring the obvious and simply repeating the lie isn't going to work Challenged.

The simple truths preclude your nonsensical claim.

Israel's actions are very much in line with international law.

Also you don't seem to comprehend the conditions necessary to for apartheid to exist.

Maybe if you read them again some of that hatred and bigotry that blinds you might falter in the light of truth.

Thank you for demonstrating quite clearly that the anti-Israel group must change the meaning of the words and text in order to sell their narrative. For example:

You wrote:
(c) Enslavement; "Industrial zones" in the West bank- no unions, little or no safety standards and no worker protection, arbitrary dismissal, etc

The text says:
(c) Enslavement;
• "Enslavement" means the exercise of any or all of the powers attaching to the right of ownership over a person and includes the exercise of such power in the course of trafficking in persons, in particular women and children;
Ownership of a person and trafficking in persons is most clearly NOT equivalent to lack of representation by a union. And it is embarrassing how obvious this is.

And, as I look into this a little further, I discover that not only is Challenger changing the meaning of the words, but is bringing some misrepresentation to the table. In these "industrial zones" Israeli companies are required by law to treat Palestinians identically to Israelis. They have the same wages and benefits, are covered by the same employment laws and can unionize. (This is in stark contrast to workers in the areas under the Palestinian Authority where there are no employment standards and protective laws at all and where minimum wages are about a third of what they are in the industrial zones.)

This is not to say that there are not some employers who are less than honest in their dealings. There have been cases where this is true. But, of course, this happens everywhere in the world and does not at all relate to the nonsense of singling out Israel as "apartheid".

Israel is more ethnically diverse than the Arab Palestinians.

So was South Africa... Demographic Characteristics of South Africa in the late 1980s - The O'Malley Archives

So it had representatives of all its ethnic groups sitting in its government offices, with those seen as the best suited given jobs in its courts and military. I have yet to see muslim only areas enforced by the government in Israel, or segregation of food outlets and drinking water fountains.

When did the Palestinians sign over the west bank to Israel. And when has it been the fault of Israel that BDS has caused so many lost jobs in the west bank

You mean the legal removal of enemy militia that had no intentions of living in peace so had to be removed. And how come the numbers of arab muslims forcibly removed amounted to 50,000 while the number of Jews forcibly removed was nearly 1 million

So you can produce evidence of these breached of international laws giving dates, places and names. So far you have refused outright to provide any evidence, showing that you are lying. And the administrative detention is part of the legal framework allowed under the Geneva conventions so is used instead of summary execution which is on the statute books the Israelis use to police the west bank.

You can always tell when rat boy has no evidence to support his claims he claims " Too many examples to cite "

Now once again give one solitary proven case pf apartheid in Israel that the UN has used to censure Israel or admit that you are just spreading islamonazi propaganda

He fails to remark on his own ideology that is the worlds worst offender when it comes to enslavement and a lack of union representation. A complete lack of any safety standards and no security in the workplace. Just look at the results of the communist rule around the world and how many workers were killed by poor working conditions and unsafe practises.

The double standards are more than obvious, we could go on forever with examples in nearly every walk of life.

But I think the main take away is the obvious misrepresentations and outright lies. Particularly in regards to definitions.

Obviously the term apartheid simply doesn't apply and obviously this is just another example of how a racist diatribe requires lies and fallacies in order for even its own adherents to justify.

Sad, but some people simply can't see past their own hatred

Not once in the last 10 years since islamonazi propagandists have been making the claim about Israel being apartheid has one case been brought to any board or discussion group showing any proven incident within Israel. The best they can do is show incidents of military policing in the west bank that is neither apartheid or within Israel
