I received a card in the mail today from the AP that stated I had been "randomly" selected to participate in a "nonpartisan" study they were conducting. They stated the survey wouldn't take more than 10 minutes. So I decided to do it. I call the number and enter my unique pin number. I get the Surveyor on the phone.
Surveyor: Are you over the age of 18
Me: YES
Surveyor: Are you a registered voter for the state of North Carolina
Me: YES
Surveyor: Are you planning to vote in the 2020 election
Me: YES
Surveyor: are you a registered democrat, republican or unaffiliated?
Me: Republican
Surveyor: You are not qualified to participate in this survey at this time
So the AP didn't want nonpartisanship

I guess they were looking for unaffiliated.

Could have saved a lot of time by asking that question first.
