The American Traveler Dignity Act

No one is forced to walk down the street either. So it's OK for you to be stopped and groped by a cop willy nilly?

No one is forced to go to the mall either. I wonder if we should put these porno-scanners in malls and force people to go through them before they can shop for the Christmas season?

You both are being silly. While I agree that the security is probably worthless in the long run at the airports as it now stands, no one is highjacking a shopping mall and ramming it into a building.

And no one will ever hijack a plane and ram it into a building again. They can, however, buy one, load it with explosives, and fly it into a building, and the TSA would have been useless, again.

No, I'm not the one to tell you. The FBI would know. Write to them. And it's been successful for El Al for many years. They also could teach us. It not little three year old though I'd bet money on that.
The "little 3 year old's" teddy bear set off the alarms. Do you really think the terrorists wouldn't hide explosives on their children? Do you really think the terrorists wouldn't tell their child to through a tantrum if they are searched? This mother and daughter could have easily been a terrorist test run to see how far the TSA would go in searching children. At the very least we know the GOP is leaping at the opportunity to use this incident to make us more vulnerable to the terrorist attack on our soil the GOP so desires in their belief it will help them to regain their power!

Fear-mongering nonsense.
Yep, that's just the complacent attitude we all had before 9-11...:eusa_whistle:

Terrorists routinely blow up trains stations and markets in the middle east and other parts of the world.
The last time I checked we weren't in the middle east. :cuckoo:

And imagine if the pilot had been armed on 9/11. How many lives would have been saved from thugs with box-cutters?

Terrorists don't make attempts to kill and maim in the US?

So you don't think terrorists could blow up a shopping mall? I mean all they'd have to do is walk in, go to the center and detonate.

I just can't see this as a civil rights issue since no one is forced to board an airplane.

No one is forced to walk down the street either. So it's OK for you to be stopped and groped by a cop willy nilly?

Remember now, you're taking to the same fucking idiot who doesn't want Arizona to EVEN ASK for identification and proof of citizenship. We have to get naked or get raped in public in order to fly.

That's actually a good point.

But, but...

You know what, I can't even think of a but. I just know he thinks it is different, somehow.

The teddy bear did not set off any alarms, it went through the luggage scanner. For some reason the alarm went off when the child passed through the scanner, and she was subjected to a pat down. If you are going to try and make me piss my pants to agree with you you should at least get your facts straight.
Well, if you really want to be technical, the child holding her teddy bear passed through the scanner twice setting off the alarm both times. The bear was then taken away from the girl and x-rayed and the girl patted down.

BTW, this happened 2 years ago. If they had the body scanners back then the girl would not have had to have been touched at all!

No, if I really want to get technical the child was so upset after her teddy bear was yanked away from her by the big bad TSA agent that she was unable to walk through the scanner properly, setting it off.

This happened despite the fact that the head of the TSA assured Congress that children under 12 are exempt from pat downs.

Please, keep trying to defend the idiots.

The teddy was taken from the spoiled little brat AFTER she went through the scanner twice setting it off both times.

Please, keep trying to shill for those who want a terrorist attack on our soil.

Bad timing: Video of TSA pat-down of 3-year-old girl resurfaces after two years

The incident happened at Chattanooga Metropolitan Airport after Mandy, carrying a Teddy bear, set off an alarm - twice - as she passed throught the metal detector.

Once security took the bear away from her to pass it through an X-ray screening device, the little girl started crying - and it only got worse when the TSA agent started patting her down.

"When that alarm goes off twice, everyone - no matter how old, must be hand-searched," said Simon in his report.

Oh no, we better let those terrorists come through!

ISREAL--the NUMBER ONE--most desired Terrorist hit place on Earth has not had an incident on their planes for 30 YEARS! Why? Because they PROFILE--they are not at all concerned with being POLITICALLY CORRECT as this country is.

This tactic equates--with several witnesse's stating that they saw a white male rob a bank--cops surround the block--and frisk everyone else--except white males.

So while--we are searching Grandpa's and Grandma's--we have to wonder how many 20-30 year old Muslim males are walking through all security at our airports--because our TSA agents are too busy frisking Americans that pose no threat what-so-ever.

Well, let's do the math. Israel has about 11 million passengers a year now and let's assume they've had that amount for the 30 years, that would mean they had 330 million passengers in the 30 years.

The US had over 800 million passengers in 2009 alone!!!

You have a blog posting that says one thing. I have a blog posting, and the fact that TSA requires all carryon items, including teddy bears belonging to children, to pass through the x-ray machine, to back me up.

Distressed Toddler Gets a TSA Pat Down | Raw Justice

Please, keep trying. Are you going to claim that your blog outweighs mine, and the fact that the TSA is so rule bound that they will allow a soldier to take a rifle aboard a plane, but not nail clippers, would make an exception to the rules for a teddy bear? Which actually makes more sense?

Because only a spoiled little brat could possibly object to being pawed by a stranger.

What you call my "blog posting" is actually a newspaper story from the N Y Daily News.

Because she is throwing a tantrum over a teddy bear and her dysfunctional parents are incapable of controlling the wild hellion, obviously!
