Senator Bernie Sanders is running for President. Unlike Democrats, Sanders has little love for corporations or capitalism. He is a pro-regulations, increase social program, tax n spend Socialist. Not "Liberal", but Socialists.
Of course, many right wingers have written the Senator off. With a public long fed on the promises of capitalism and its fear of communism, the Republicans may think Sanders is the losers choice. However, election trends and disillusionment in some 'capitalist' trade policies may actually turn Sanders into a political juggernaut. If Sanders is able to over come Clinton in the primaries(not impossible--see Obama 2008 campaign), America maybe more than poised to elect its first true Socialist.
Why Bernie Sanders Will Become the Democratic Nominee and Defeat Any Republican in 2016 H. A. Goodman
A candidate that is anti-Iraq, anti-Big Bank, anti free trade and TPP, pro-gay, pro-union populist socialist that was 2 decades ahead of his time is now running for president.
Be scared, right wingers. He only has to beat a scandal plagued Hillary in the Miss/Mr Leftist pageant known as the Democratic primary and the WH could be his.
By the way, Did I not mention Senator Bernie Sanders is a socialist?
Be afraid, right wingers, be very afraid!!
Meh. I doubt there's a single conservative who's afraid of Col. Sanders. Like Trump, he's only in the running to provide some "clown factor". Except Trump knows he's a clown and being rich and bored, he's putting on a show for us.
Sanders on the other hand, is clueless. He thinks he's a serious contender for the presidential election, and earnestly believes that after two terms of Obama, this country actually wants to move further to the left. I take him about as serious as those clowns from the CPUSA, who keep running every election. Or better yet, I see him as much of a serious candidate as I do Vermin Supreme, who is also running this time.
He's raising serious money and drawing serious crowds and he has never been one to do anything half-assed. You may not take him seriously now, but you will.
I hope he runs, either as a Democrat or an independent.
Actually more so as an independent and I hope his party, whatever he calls it, runs candidates in all contested Senate seats too.
