The 10 Commandments of the Church of Climate Change

You are comparing climate science to a religion. So no, I didn't miss. I was spot on because the implication was obvious.

No, I'm saying AGW is a religion. Where in there was i saying religion is irrelevant?

Try again.

Of course you are saying that climate science is a religion. And you say it as a form of denigration, as if ALL religions are to be denigrated. Ipso facto, you believe religion to be irrelevant because you believe climate science to be irrelevant because you believe it to be a religion. So, buddy, perhaps you haven't thought this out far enough.

For the record -- i don't condone the mocking of any religion..

Oro-man --- sorry your religion was mocked.. You have a RIGHT to be offended..

I'm an atheist. In arguments with Christians (and Muslims for that matter) it's very common for them to charge that I (we) treat atheism as a religion. It's difficult to know what to make of such an argument. And this is certainly not the first time that deniers have made these sorts of charges against mainstream science (because that IS what you are attacking).

I can't think of any interpretation that would adhere to Christian dogma. But, of course, that's irrelevant.

Overwhelming evidence says that the warming that has taken place over the last 150 years has been caused primarily by increased levels of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere. And overwhelming evidence says that the source of those excess greenhouse gases is human power plants and ICE-powered vehicles. There's no religion involved. There's no issue of faith without evidence or even in opposition to evidence. The people most accurately characterized as holding a belief contrary to the evidence would be folks like WestWall, FlaCalTenn, ToddsterPatriot, GSlack and the other vehement deniers.

Not really.. Speaking for myself --- I don't deny that physics says that when the current CO2 doubling from 280 to 560ppm is complete -- the Earth should have warmed 1.2degC.

But that's not what you believe.. You believe in a fragile climate where man is gonna meet the mighty wrath of Gaia when the tundra defrosts and the oceans stop sucking up CO2. That unless we sacrifice a virgin or two RIGHT NOW ---- the giant fuel-air bomb that we live on is gonna explode.. As you just told me in another thread -- you consider "tomorrow" is just speculation...

THe CONSEQUENCES of our actions will be meted out by a great and powerful force that we have grievously wounded.
Which really is the Medicine Man Plan of governing so that you get your way with the tribes' shells and trinkets...

Actually, he was saying that climate science is a religion because the courts have ruled that belief AGW is a religion. Clearly it is you who hasn't invested enough thought on the topic.

Well s0n....thankfully for the rest of us, your kind are the fringe of the fringe. Accordingly, your sentiments have virtually zero impact on the policy makers. Indeed, for all the outrage we see in here from the AGW true believers, the deniers continue to win big. Nobody takes the doomsday shit seriously......except these k00ks who are OCD about this kind of stuff. If people did, Cap and Trade would have been a chip shot filed goal for the k00ks......instead, it is as dead as a doornail and for decades to come, renewable energy will be but a little sliver of the energy pie = k00k losing. Ten years from now, the same nutters will be singing the same stupid-ass tune and still nobody will give a shit!!:D:eusa_dance::D

For the deniers............."because winning, is the greatest feeling in the world!"

Anybody with half a brain knows that if government just gets out of the way, there will be developments in nanotechnology which will generate green energy >>>>>

The green k00ks don't give a shit though......

Oh yes.......the committed climate crusaders know well that fully embracing green energy leads to a complete destruction of the capitalistic system = exactly what these hyper-socialists want!!

My role in the forum has and always will be educating interested parties about the lunacy and danger of these fucked up people who embrace only the science which matches the established narrative of the climate nutter contingent which paves the way for the stupidest jerkoff idea in the last 100 years: renewable energy.........a total scam!!:up::fu:

Seems to me that if someone had gotten in the way of your avatar at just the right moment, he would not have exploded. But I suppose you are into that sort of thing (people exploding on utility poles).

I don't care who get's offended... If you believe in something you cannot physically prove, and especially if that belief often flies in the face of the facts in front of you, it is a belief and not a fact. A belief in something you cannot prove, requires faith. Religion requires faith, and so does AGW. Ergo, AGW belief despite the facts showing it false, makes it like a relgion.

So all of you Algorean faithful should spend the rest of the evening in prostrastion, and repent your sins and failure in service to your messiah Al Gore. You have all failed Gaia....

1. AGW is the truth and the way, thou shalt not heed any truths before it.

2. Thou shalt worship AGW, and cast no dispersions on it.

3. Remember always to keep holy the Hockey Stick graph.

4. Honor Al Gore and the Democrats.

5. Thou shalt not convert to the deniers.

6. Thou shalt adulterize the data when necessary.

7. Thou shalt steal away and destroy any data against the name of AGW.

8. Thou shalt not bear witness against AGW data.

9. Thou shalt not covet the truth.

10. Thou shalt covet the next government grant.

And Barack Hussein Obama looked down upon the commandments from his holy perch on high, and saw that it was good.

We could have had this 3,000 years ago if Moses had stayed out in the Sinai sun too long, or had gotten a government grant. I guess God was trying to balance the budget.

Nobody that publishes in the peer reviewed journals that I read have ever stated that we are days away from catastrophe.

Thanks for the "Days Away!!!" scare-story angle! I'll apply for a Warmalarmie grant on it. If you peer-review it for me, I'll cut you in on the loot!

To Get the Greenbacks, Go Green!

Nobody that publishes in the peer reviewed journals that I read have ever stated that we are days away from catastrophe. That is your schtick. What they have stated is that there are inevitable consequences from adding GHGs to the atmosphere. One of those consequences is a changing climate. A changing climate that will affect agriculture and storm tracks and frequency. We are seeing that right now.

Sock you don't read any science journals.. What you do is cherry-pick from online articles that link to science journals, and only when it suits your needs.

You don't read them, you've been caught not reading them many times...
