If you look at it from the liberal point of view, yes she is. A woman who is beaten and raped is still alive. If she shoots the attacker he is dead. Is it better to be alive, or dead. In the incident of Trayvon Martin and George Zimmerman, that's the whole case. Zimmerman was getting badly beaten. He was told "You're going to die tonight." He shot his attacker, therefore it is his fault. Martin may have relented and just beaten Zimmerman badly. Someone might have stopped the attack short of death.

Have I ever once stated Trayvon's death was extremely tragic? My heart goes out to his family. I couldn't imagine the pain of losing once child. He was only 17 and he was taken very young.

Nevertheless, the facts that are emerging point to Zimmerman not as a cold-blooded racist, but a man considered about a recent wave of burgaries in his gated community. A man who followed a suspicious individual and then broke off when the 9/11 dispatcher told him to, then was confronted by an angry Trayvon (who had 10 lb and nearly a half foot on Zimmerman) attack Zimmerman and viciously beat him!

Martin's death is tragic, but so would putting an innocent man behind bars, because white guilt and black racism can't come to grips with what really happened in this situation!

B. Zimmermann is not innocent; he may or may not be found guilty but in fact he killed an unarmed teenager.

C. Adjust your focus. Consider, your 17 yo son went to the store to get candy; he was followed by a man which resulted in a fight in which your son kicked ass. As the man who initiated the contact which resulted in the fight was getting his ass kicked he pulled a gun and shot your child in the chest, killing him.

D. I have two sons. In my biased opinion Zimmermann deserves the needle.
