Thank you for killing reform Joe libermann and republicans

Thank you for your uncapitalistic ways to keep the monopoly of the insurance companies around. Thank you for killing grandma by the dening hard working american a chance to survive and to live there lives but it's more important to have your 12 million dollar a year salary paid by these hard working Americans .

Health care reform isn't worth a mandate to buy this crap of insurance or receive a fine. My girlfriend has non allergic rhinitis that has caused breathing problems. She paid her insurance premiums every month. She was denied coverage for her CT scan which cost 400 dollars. Got denied payment for her visits because they determine it was allergy related even though the ct scan looked at by three doctors said it was structural. Now her surgery to get the problem fixed has been denied because it allergy related even though it has been proven to be structural.

This needs to end. You people against health care reform are killing people e everyday. You are terrorist, it obviously accepted terrorism that the republicans do.

Doesn't matter anyway, as all those out of work and their families qualify for medicaid, food stamps, TANF, and so on.

Sinatra is so hoping that the little GOP leprechaun leads the party to the golden pot at the end of the rainbow. However, I fear that the Obamatroll will have it well under lock and key. You see, Sinatra, what is bogus about your hope is that you think the American people are going to forgive you people for what you pulled for so many years. Fat chance.

You can't really blame it on Republicans. Do you blame a drooling idiot who sits in the corner and fiddle faddles? Of course not. Because they don't know any better.

Read the blogs on this board. Republicans still believe Iraq was a good idea and the people of Iraq are now a "democracy". Tell them women now can't go outside without the escort of a male relative and the Christians have been nearly wiped out and Islam is the "national religion" by constitution and laws have to be based on Islam and they don't believe it.

These people are anti science/pro mysticism, yet go to medical doctors. Doctors who all believe in the science of evolution.

To blame this health care debacle on Republicans is wrong. They simply don't know any better.

The problem is Obama treats Republicans as if they are responsible adults. That was his first mistake.

The second is believing that the current Democratic coalition is as monolithic as the Republican coalition. You see, the Republicans march in lockstep. They are pretty much one race and one religion and a single level of education. They believe what they are told. You have to take them out of the equation and concentrate on a bill that you can sell to the rest of America.

We've known that this bill was heading for problems for awhile. Death panels, kill grandma, you would have to be a total moron to believe that stuff and that's the problem. Morons vote too. The even have their own party. Democrats haven't done enough to fight that rhetoric. They just assumed people are too smart to believe it.

About the bill itself. Democrats should pass whatever they can. Even if it is a bit of a boondoggle for insurance companies. Maybe after a few more Republicans are burned by the very insurance companies they want to protect, they might finally wise up, but I doubt it. I suspect that many of those Republicans who are fighting to protect health care companies are like Joe "don't touch my wealth" the Plumber, they have no health care.

No progressive bill was voted on whole and complete. It takes time and experience and adding amendments to improve such a bill. But if no bill is voted, there is nothing to improve. We have no bill at all. My feeling is go ahead and vote on this bill. I know the current bill has been stripped of everything that will help the middle class, but you don't win the game in the first inning.

LOL....nice treatise on the sourness of grapes, or the stupidity of UHC, whichever you prefer. Calling responsible adults "morons" because they won't drink the leftist cool-aid (giving free healthcare to another 47m indigenous US persons) is nothing short of moronic.

The US Constitution and the republic have lasted this long because the nation's lawmakers can never steer too far left or too far right. The dems stopped some of Newt's agenda, and now the GOP is stopping some of Obama's.

If you want to make good laws, how about making Medicare and SS solvent?

With the public option stripped, Ben Nelson will get the language he wants on abortion in the bill. When he gets that, the Dems will pass the bill by Thursday. The bill is not everything the Party wanted, but it is far, far more than the GOP ever wanted to give.

:oops:I'm sorry if I gave the impression that I was calling responsible adults "morons".

If you ever develop the ability for abstract thought, come back and try posting again.

The last tally I had--it may have changed in the last several months--was:

SENATE:
58 Democrats
2 Independents (who caucus with the Democrats) for a total of 60%
40 Republicans - 40%

HOUSE of REPRESENTATIVES:
257 Democrats - 59%
178 Republicans - 41%

Now, given that there are Republicans who vote with the Democrats more than they vote with the Republicans, tell us again how the Republicans can "kill" anything?

When Candidate Obama promised that his would be a bipartisan administration seeking the best ideas and counsel from everybody, he may have meant it. But shortly after taking office, he arrogantly advised the advisors that he won, nobody else's opinion would count, and he turned that campaign promise into a lie.

The ONLY thing the Democrats want from the Republicans is cover and somebody they can point to as sharing the blame for their dangerous, reckless, socialist and Marxist-tinged agenda. They don't want to climb out on that limb all by themselves and incur the wrath of thinking people--that would be the majority of American voters--who don't want a socialist, Marxist-tinged government.

I think probably it is mostly non-thinking people who are blaming the Republicans for what is happening now.

Oh, it is certainly not a "dangerous, reckless, socialist and Marxist-tinged agenda".

No one has ever shown why it was dangerous, or reckless, or social or has a Marxist tinge, on this message board or any message board.

Yes, there has been a lot of blah blah and foul mouthed nonsense (nice, ladies), but who cares.

It will pass next week. You can bet one Crusader Frank and two Sinatras.

I'll up you for a partridge in a Willow Tree that it won't.

Ah, that fortunate partridge in a Willow Tree!

The real question is why they are passing this or anything to do with healthcare, when the people have made it clear they don't want what is being forced upon them?

As I stated before what, if anything, that passes will be a very much watered down version of "healthcare/insurance reform" to ensure a signing ceremony.

This will be met by anger from both the left and the right, and place the Republican chances for sweeping victories in 2010 even greater than they already are.

The Democrat leadership is crippling the party - what took the Bush era eight years to do to the Republican brand name, is now being accomplished in hardly more than a year on the Democrat side...

It's going to be a hollow victory for the democrats, also. It's not going to bring down prices, it will raise the cost of healthcare, and there will be millions left without healthcare. Yep, this is a good one....just in time for next years election.
