Thank you for your uncapitalistic ways to keep the monopoly of the insurance companies around. Thank you for killing grandma by the dening hard working american a chance to survive and to live there lives but it's more important to have your 12 million dollar a year salary paid by these hard working Americans .

Health care reform isn't worth a mandate to buy this crap of insurance or receive a fine. My girlfriend has non allergic rhinitis that has caused breathing problems. She paid her insurance premiums every month. She was denied coverage for her CT scan which cost 400 dollars. Got denied payment for her visits because they determine it was allergy related even though the ct scan looked at by three doctors said it was structural. Now her surgery to get the problem fixed has been denied because it allergy related even though it has been proven to be structural.

This needs to end. You people against health care reform are killing people e everyday. You are terrorist, it obviously accepted terrorism that the republicans do.

    You're welcome.

And it was not Republicans who "killed reform" but rather the emergence of the American conservative movement this past summer.

The national figure most influential in this ongoing debate was Sarah Palin.

Choke on that you statist libs...:)

Replacing the defacto in-state monopolies with a federal monopoly, enforcing purchase of insurance at the point of a gun no less, is no reform.

    Your premise is phony.

This is pure bullshit. The Democrats are actually more to blame than Lieberman or the Republicans. The Democrats have a majority. They have the White House. They have everything in place needed to pass ANY legislation they want. And what did they do? They FUCKED IT UP. The Democrats and anyone who actually wanted healthcare reform need to look NO further than the party in power for not getting it done.

Yup, 20 million in lobbying has forced most Americans and many Democrats to stop what the GOP tried to stop all along. You have an administration now that is acting like or exceeding the previous Bush administration, and thank God the wheels came off on this healthcare RIP OFF.

How much corruption in government by these Democrats will the people allow? Not much during these times.

We all wanted healthcare "reform". Unfortunately Obama sold us out.

    amazing, we agree

seriously, with basically a 60 seat majority and a mass majority in the house, ownership of the WH...if you can't get things done, well....it doesn't get much easier

Thank you for killing this absurd massive Socialist Boondoggle! That's what the title of this thread should have read. Blaming Joe Lieberman and the Republicans is also pretty weak. The Republicans have absolutely no say in this Socialist mess. They are irrelevant at this point. They cannot stop any Legislation being proposed by the Democrats. They simply don't have the numbers. Try taking a Civics course if you don't believe me. Joe Lieberman alone cannot stop this Boondoggle either. Just sounds like a lot of hysterical whining to me.

In fact i also think there should be an investigation of this White House and some Democratic members of Congress for threatening base closings if (D) Ben Nelson didn't vote for their Boondoggle. There may have been crimes committed by this White House and some members of Congress. Maybe if the Republicans take Congress back, they will go forward with this investigation. A lot of dirty dealing is coming from this White House and certain Democratic members of Congress. Hmm?

The last time I checked there were a LOT more Democrats in the Senate than there are Republicans and if the Democrats really wanted this so called reform bill then they would have passed it a long time ago. This bill has little if anything to do with reform, in fact the only reform in the bill is it's requirement for pre-existing conditions. It does not lower premiums,it does not improve healthcare quailty, it does not lower the cost of prescription drugs, it does not reduce the number of malpractice lawsuits, it does not even offer Americans a "public option". It does however take from Medicare 500 Billion to funnel those uninsured into state Medicaid, which almost everyone will agree is universally bad. So let me ask you this, as you were so kind to ask me, your not for taking healthcare away from Seniors are you?, your not for low quality healthcare are you?, your not for high premiums are you? As for the Insurance companies themselves, let me say this, if you were under the impression that this bill ever was going to do anything to keep insurance companies from having an interest in the healthcare system them you are sadly mistaken, You didn't think Medicare was actually run by the Govt. did you?
