Texas Senate Bill Drops Teaching Requirement That Ku Klux Klan Is ‘Morally Wrong’

Eliminated requirements also include the writings of Martin Luther King Jr., United Farm Workers leader Cesar Chavez and suffragist Susan B. Anthony.

In a new political low in Texas, the Republican-dominated state Senate has passed a bill to eliminate a requirement that public schools teach that the Ku Klux Klan and its white supremacist campaign of terror are “morally wrong.”

The cut is among some two dozen curriculum requirements dropped in the measure, along with studying Martin Luther King Jr.’s “I Have a Dream” speech, the works of United Farm Workers leader Cesar Chavez, Susan B. Anthony’s writings about the women’s suffragist movement, and Native American history.

Critics say the state is promoting an “anti-civics” education.

Senate Bill 3 — passed last Friday 18-4 — drops most mentions of people of color and women from the state’s required curriculum.

That includes eliminating a requirement that students be taught the “history of white supremacy, including but not limited to the institution of slavery, the eugenics movement, and the Ku Klux Klan, and the ways in which it is morally wrong.”

Why has Texas become such a pariah state? What do you think?

Sounds like the Texas Senate doesn't have anything to do.

Sure they do. We teach them that savages are good for nothing wildmen.

How's that?

You injuns are just mad because your ancient civilization was no match for a modern one.
They were no match for the diseases that had developed in Europe. Had their numbers not been decimated, the European colonist would have had a much harder time carrying out that Manifest Destiny doctrine.

Texas is the place where logic goes to die.

You have to be certified to be a nail technician in Texas....not to carry a firearm.

So no one knows the Democrat KKK party is wrong unless government tells them it is?

BTW, in my experience, Europeans tend to be pretty political. They love talking politics. They are left, but not dicks like Democrats are, but they love talking differing views between Europeans and Americans. The topics I'm asked the most about by far by Europeans are about the death penalty and gun laws.

My experience with New Zealanders is they really don't bring up politics much. They will offer opinions if it comes up, but they don't often bring it up. I not only never met a kiwi dick like Dr Grump , I never met a Kiwi who loves talking politics at all like him.

Don't worry, the author is a leftist. You won't read that biased both sides that scares the shit out of you

Sure. It had nothing to do with metal working/tooling. It was all those diseases.

No doubt disease played a role, but the natives had primitive technology compared to the arriving Europeans. They were essentially a bunch of nomads who somewhat settled (changed from hunter/gatherer to agrarian, yet not in Texas, where they we still nomadic hunter/gatherers like the Apache and Comanche), but continued with their nomadic ways.

Most civilizations survive long after the disease came.

Good----Texas is doing it right. For to long we have allowed the Communists to push the racism narrative going from what was legite to questionable now to flat out fucking lies and pure manipulation to create hate and devision pushing race wars and anarchy to destroy the US. This shit has to stop--and looks like Texas legislature has figured this out. Watch the communist/lib trolls whine their asses off. The KKK was wrong in many regards, not as wrong and destructive as BLM or the Black Panthers though if you really want the truth out. Stop beating the kids over the head for simply being white......stop teach other pigmented kids that it is good to attack the evil whites and cops. Start teaching the TRUTH.

MLK was not the person the jackasses pretend he was---he simply used the pulpit to enrich his self so he could whore around while married. Chavez and the United Farm Workers are criminal and a terrorist enterprise-------sick idiots treat them as heroes especially Chavez and the UFW were are notorious racists to boot.

That would be because they don't believe it is.

Is this the only probem in the state of Texas?

It's actually a big step in the right direction----this signals that TEXAS is starting to push the communist brain washing and manipulation out of the schools. No not the only problem in Texas but certainly an improvement to fix it.
