Hip, hip, hooray for the Kurds.

Syrian Kurds seize military base from 'Islamic State' in Raqqa province

Kurdish-led forces have said they have captured a military base from 'Islamic State' (IS) in Syria's Raqqa province. The terrorist group had held the base since capturing it from Syrian military last September.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said on Monday that with US-led air support and smaller Syrian rebel groups, the Kurdish People's Protection Units (YPG) took total control of the Liwa (Brigade) 93 base.

"IS lines of defense were pushed back to the gates of Raqqa," the Observatory said.

The military base lies just 7 km (4 miles) of Ain Issa, a town 50 km (30 miles) north of 'IS' de facto capital Raqqa city from where the terrorist group has proclaimed a caliphate to rule over all Muslims from territory it controls in Syria and Iraq.

Kurds are pulling the weight in the fight of ISIS. Everyone else is dropping to ball, or don't even want to step on the court.

maybe this endeavor will unite them----like be
a galvanizing force to get them to become a
single organized army ----from Iran all the way
thru Turkey (ssssshhhh.... don't tell erdogan just yet. Son of Saladin might pop
out of the hills

Give the Kurds the weapons and military equipment they need, they will take care of it all. They are already kicking ISIS' butt without any real military support.

Yet they get no recognition and are constantly betrayed by the West because of the alliance with Turkey.

Don´t be silly. Without coalition airstrikes, not even "Kobani" would have been saved. The Kurds are the only force effectively protected by the coalition. The people of Palmyra and Ramadi for example were not worth a consideration for the coalition that only boosts irregular forces.

Not true. ISIS hardest enemy is the SAA, making far more ISIS terrorists disappear than the other groups together.

The Little Boy doesn't like it that the Kurds are getting such positive attention. Regardless of the help from the coalition, I think most would agree that they are the best fighters in the area, and the Kurd fighters even include their women.

Kurds take town on road to ISIS capital?

And their children! Something you sinister devil don´t care about. The Kurds aren´t the best fighters by the way. You find the best fighters in the ranks of the Syrian government forces.

Yessiree, the silly Little Boy can't stand the fact that we are talking about the brave Kurds. He only wants us to talk about the so-called by him overly brave soldier's of his beloved hero's regime. Hmm, wonder why, with such a brave Army, his beloved has lost so much of his country. Maybe the Little Boy should get a pass out of the nut house and lead a battalion himself.

As expected, you utterly failed to address the child soldier issue. So the Kurds sending children to fight ISIS are brave as well as the regular fighters?

As we all can see, the Little Boy appears to be on the verge of having a hissy fit because many of us see how brave the Kurds are. Tell us how brave your beloved's Army after they regain all the territory they have lost in Syria . They have superior, modern equipment which the Kurds don't possess.. Meanwhile, many of us will go on cheering the Kurds and their bravery even though you don't like it.

........ ISIL retreating from the Tel Abyad border crossing and abandoning terrain equivalent to "82 times the size of Ramadi -- roughly 4,100 square kilometers."

Republicans are having a bad week. Daesh terrorist scum ran away from 4100 sqare miles in Syria which cuts their lines of communications toward Iraq.

"These gains," Weidley said, "have severed multiple primary and secondary lines of communication in the [ISIL]-dominated territory as well as east-west lines of communication across northern Syria towards Iraq."

Most Republicans here were predicting or hoping for the fall of Baghdad by this time. The Donald and Jeb of the Bush Clan are in a statistical dead heat in NH polls. (See source below)

These developments will further constrict ISIL mobility, supply, sustainment and communications within Syria, he said, and will have positive effects for the Iraq portion of the campaign as well.

And total Iraq Republican idiot Trump told a reporter last week flat out that ISIS 'has' Iraq's oil. And in his announcement speech he said: "So now ISIS has the oil, and what they don't have, Iran has." ( Full text Donald Trump announces a presidential bid - The Washington Post ) Only a complete moron doesnt know that ISIS has little if any control over Iraq's oil. Iran has none of it too. So 11% of GOP voters in NH support this moron!!!

Someone tell Trump we don't need to send US ground troops in a combat role to seize Iraq's oil from Iraqis. It's theirs Donald you idiot.

. WASHINGTON, June 19, 2015 - Forces fighting the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant have made significant gains in northern Syria, which will have positive effects in Iraq as well, said the Combined Joint Task Force - Operation Inherent Resolve chief of staff.

During a telephone call today from Southwest Asia with Pentagon reporters, Marine Corps Brig. Gen. Thomas D. Weidley provided operational updates on coalition and anti-ISIL force efforts in Iraq and Syria.

Weidley said the latest operational developments in Syria are focused on the gains anti-ISIL forces have made in northern Syria.

"These anti-ISIL forces," he said, "which [comprise] ethnic Syrian Kurds, Arabs, Turks and non-Kurdish Christians among others, have been making significant gains against [ISIL] for months, including expelling [ISIL] from Kobani and from the Tel Hamis pocket in northeast Syria."

Weidley said anti-ISIL forces have been conducting operations since early May to close the gap between the two areas.

These efforts, the general said, culminated earlier in the week with ISIL retreating from the Tel Abyad border crossing and abandoning terrain equivalent to "82 times the size of Ramadi -- roughly 4,100 square kilometers."

"These gains," Weidley said, "have severed multiple primary and secondary lines of communication in the [ISIL]-dominated territory as well as east-west lines of communication across northern Syria towards Iraq."

These developments will further constrict ISIL mobility, supply, sustainment and communications within Syria, he said, and will have positive effects for the Iraq portion of the campaign as well.

U.S. Central Command General Significant gains made by anti-ISIL forces in northern Syria

It is slowly working and U.S. Troops need not die in Iraq as when Jeb's brother sent them into Iraq as part of his his dumb war.

.Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush remains on top, at 16 percent, but Trump, who drew the support of only 5 percent in a Granite State Poll released in early May, has now moved to 11 percent. With the margin of error for the poll, conducted by the University of New Hampshire Survey Center, at 4.9 percent, Trump is virtually in a statistical dead heat with Bush for the top spot.

Let the men and women on the ground who live there continue to drive the Daesh terrorist scum out with support from the coalition from the air.

The Kurds have Nato support. From the air and as US arms. Without it, ISIS would overrun their areas. And what about the child soldiers? Why do you refuse to talk about FSA/Nusra and YPG child soldiers?

Looks like the Little Boy can't stand to see us cheering on those brave Kurds. He forgets that his hero has planes given to him by Russia in which his Air Force bombs rebel sites. He seems so obsessed with boy soldiers, but I am willing to bet he is not interested in the other boy soldiers in the Middle East or in Africa. Have you posted on the other forums about these boy soldiers, Little Boy? If not, then you are a hypocrite.
