Syrian Druze City Turns On Assad After Top Cleric Killed By Car Bomb

Sheik Wahid Balous, a cleric of the Druze minority sect, was a prominent critic of President Bashar Assad, calling on youth in the Druze stronghold of Sweida province to refuse to serve in the military. He was also a critic of the Islamic State militants who have taken over a third of the country and are fuelling the civil war that has killed more than 250,000 and left more than one million wounded.

This a war of all the citizens against all the citizens. They seem not to calm down and to solicit a truce in the region forever. People who were living together for centuries can`t do mutual concessions in order to live in peace. Two variants are possible they are too stupid to understand that the war is not a solution of the problem or there was always a `rich guard` (as the US today) who operated feelings of these impressive nations of the Middle East.

They defend Bashar al-Assad and it`s not surprise because Russia is more likely to support conservative government than rebels. There is something of common sense in their actions. Under conservatives a country is stable and it`s easier to negotiate.
