How come world leaders never bombed the Soviet Union, Communist China et al. when they were slaughtering their own people in the tens of millions? Answer: Those slaughters were much more humane than gassing children.

US, Russian ambassadors spar at UN Security Council meeting

“World leaders” threw bouquets at President Trump. Two “national leaders” —— Putin and Hassan Rouhani —— threw stink bombs.

Russia predictably denounced the strike as an “act of aggression against a UN member,” warning that the move could end cooperation between the Russian and US military branches.

“Russia will demand an urgent UN Security Council meeting after the US airstrike on Syrian aviation base. This is an act of aggression against a UN member,” the Kremlin stated, adding that it was an act of “aggression against a sovereign state in violation of international law.”

Iran, too, “strongly condemned the US strike” and suggested that the action would lead to increased terror activity.

On the plus side Putin can and will veto United Nations participation in any international coalition.

I tried to find out if the United Nations will be in charge of Tillison’s international coalition for Syria. The only thing I learned is that it is the best kept secret in the media.

My bet is on the US military being ordered to engage in a little democracy-building for the United Nations.

Sen. Paul: We didn't have the debate, we simply went to war

Senator Paul better push to get this country out of the United Nations because the U.S. Congress has not declared war since 1941.

The Korean War was a United Nations Police Action. The United Nations did not sanction the Vietnam War.

The Korean War was sanctioned by the United Nations; therefore, the American Left had their hands tied. American Communists could not protest a military action against the spread of Communism without criticizing the UN. The Vietnam War was not sanctioned by the United Nations; therefore; American Communists were free to bring defeat their own country.

Putin is not going to repeat Stalin’s mistake:

President Truman said this about stopping Communist expansion in Korea:

We've got to stop the sons of bitches, no matter what, and that's all there is to it.

Truman jumped on the Soviet Union’s failure to attend a Security Council meeting; so he took the opportunity to stop Communist expansion by manipulating the UN; hence, a UN Police Action rather than a declared war. Had the Soviets attended the one and only Security Council meeting they ever missed, they would have vetoed Truman’s military opposition to North Korea’s aggression.

Incidentally, President Truman was right in stopping Communism, but he was wrong in getting the UN’s approval.

Selective Memories

It will be interesting to see where Trump goes with Syria?

Yes it will be! But my eyes are on Russia and Europe, having spent almost ten years there during the Cold War period. I read where prior to the missile attack, yesterday evening, Russian troops were apparently billeted in their own areas and that today they have been intermingled with the Syrians. That should tell all involved that the Russians are willing to shed blood. Now why do you suppose they would make such a move? It should be obvious to all that they have thrown down a gauntlet to whom ever wishes to pick it up. I have met the Russian Army and have no desire to see us in a pissing contest with them again, any time soon.

The judaized, feminized, negrified US military is no match for any other power in the world.

Perhaps the explanation is that Russia was warned of the attack and got their people out of harm's way.

It’s another GOP civil war.

Membership in the United Nations is the cause of the only civil war in this country. Americans (abolitionists) on one side, and the global government crowd (plantation owners) on the other side.

Since 1945 American presidents not only acted in the best interests of the United Nations they were expected to serve the UN. Condemnation reined in every president who dared to put America’s sovereignty ahead of the United Nations. Bottom line: President Trump is going to pay the same price Democrats made Bush the Younger pay when he invaded Iraq unilaterally.

NOTE: Conservatives punished President Nixon severely when he mistakenly seated Communist China in the United Nations.

In plain English no American president can serve the American people and the United Nations. Presidents must always be free to act unilaterally in all things and to hell with the UNIC (United Nations/International Community). Every time presidents like Bill Clinton and Obama drop every pretense of serving the American people our civil war becomes more difficult for loyal American presidents to defend this country. Look very closely at the cumulative effect on President Trump’s decision to bomb Syria:

1. President Obama’s policies.

2. President Clinton’s betrayal in North Korea:

Finally, add defeat in Vietnam to the cumulative effect although that defeat is the result of the Democrat party’s first loyalty rather than the fault of a single president.

President Trump is going to pay the same price Democrats made Bush the Younger pay when he invaded Iraq unilaterally.
Tucker Carlson is missing the Left’s standard play. They will say anything regardless of how idiotic and illogical it is:

Tucker: Our news coverage has never been faker

Every personal attack in the Left’s deck of card, fascist, racist, white supremacist, blah, blah, blah say the same thing. That is the only way they can defend the United Nations without exposing their agenda. They did the same thing to Bush the Younger in Iraq. Do a little research and you will find tons of attacks on Bush, but you not find one word about defending the United Nations. The story was “I was for it before I was against it.”

Democrats were for it when they believed that United Nations inspectors would make the final decisions. Democrats turned against it when Bush invaded unilaterally. They then spent 8 years working with Obama to turn victory into defeat. The tragedy is that the U.S. military had to win the same war twice.

NOTE: Democrats handled Afghanistan much differently than Iraq because that international coalition got United Nations approval. Also note that no Democrat ever blamed the United Nations for the longest war in America’s history.

Parenthetically, Bush the Elder’s Desert Storm was applauded because the UN was giving the orders from start to finish:

A United Nations INTERNATIONAL COALITION in the Gulf War stopped Bush the Elder from going all the way to Bagdad. Had Bush toppled Saddam Hussein in 1990 there would have been no need to invade Iraq after 9-11-2001.

Fighting For Assad

Just to be clear. President Trump did the right thing in Syria —— so long as he did not do it for the United Nations.

You may never have heard of Wendy Sherman, but the former senior State Department official earned her place in history as North Korea policy coordinator for the Clinton administration, when North Korea's nuclear program was supposedly suspended in return for massive American aid, thereby aiding the rogue state in acquiring the weapons that threaten us today. We wound up with billions sent to a brutal dictatorship and nothing to show for it except a growing nuclear and missile armory that soon could pose a mortal threat to the United States via an EMP attack.

As if that were not bad enough, she was the lead negotiator for the disastrous Obama Iran deal that is clearing the path for the mullahs to gain the capability of rousing the 12th Imam via nuclear Armageddon, a desirable outcome in their minds, even if an unparalleled potential catastrophe for the rest of humanity. One of the worst deals in history, according to President Trump.

Quite the record of achievement: enabling two regimes ruled by madmen to acquire nukes and ICBMs. Give her credit: Wendy Sherman is one of the architects of our current nuclear dilemma, helping unleash the nuclear genie in the hands of irrational actors and rogue states.

If Sherman’s track record was not one train wreck after another this would be humorous:

With that sort of track record, finding a new means of achieving distinction might be difficult. But this week, Wendy found an audience that could appreciate her unique capacities for discernment at the Aspen Ideas Festival. Her brilliant breakthrough insight? Hillary Clinton lost to Donald Trump because Barack Obama was our first black president.
