Did the "tyrant" also force the people to vote for him?

yup

no-----they are still doing a fine job of exerting force -----economically, psychologically----etc etc
Not funny. The army has the support of the population, is the population. Otherwise it would not have been possible to defeat hundreds of thousands of western equipped monkeys.

Syrian presidential election 2014 - Wikipedia the free encyclopedia

Isn't it strange, folks, that dictators and tyrants get 80 to over 90 percent of the vote, whereas you never see this in a democracy?

You can see the type of countries that are congratulating Assad. Say, maybe that spoiled brat in North Korea will invite Assad for a visit.
Corrupt politicians of so called democracies (tell me if you have a say in your country´s politics) can´t hold a candle to Assad.

Good politicians get a huge majority of the votes. The observers said the elections were fair and democratic, so keep your agitprop silent.

Really???
Really.

"As a result of the ongoing Syrian Civil War, Syria has the largest refugee population in the world, and voting for refugees in certain foreign countries began at Syrian embassies several days before voting took place in Syria itself. Domestic and foreign-based Syrian opposition groups boycotted the election, and the vote did not take place in large parts of Syria under rebel control. The areas under Kurdish militia control also did not allow voting, though some people still traveled to Assad regime held areas to vote.

An international delegation led by allies of Assad from more than 30 countries including Bolivia, Brazil, Cuba, Ecuador, India, Iran, Iraq, Nicaragua, Russia, South Africa and Venezuela issued a statement claiming the election was "free, fair and transparent".

Some rebel groups vowed to disrupt the elections in any way possible, including bombing and shelling polling stations and government-controlled areas.

23px-Flag_of_Afghanistan.svg.png
Afghanistan – expressed hope that Syria will overcome all challenges "thanks to the wisdom of its leadership and the determination of the Syrian people". Afghanistan affirmed support to Syria in "combating terrorism and extremism", considering President al-Assad’s presidential elections win as “a new chapter that paves the way for ending the crisis in Syria."

Remember, Aris, all those air strikes by the U.S., Canada and other countries mean nothing in the Little Boy's mind.

Funny how these tyrants seems to get an extremely huge majority of the votes whereas you don't see this in a free society. The people under these tyrants appear to be afraid to vote otherwise.

And the Little Boy doesn't think that Assad is corrupt just like his Daddy was!!! In a democracy you never see someone running getting 90 percent or more of the vote like you see in countries that have dictators and tyrants as their leaders. Anyhow, I sure hope that Hugo Chavez invited your buddy for some rest and recreation on the island of Aruba off of Venezuela. There they could have both laughed at how they lead their citizens around like lambs while they sipped their pina coladas..

More chemical attacks in Idlib. Assad military and pro-assad forces are clashing with each other. Not the best way to keep your friends.
Iran wants Assad to attack Israel in the Golan. Assad is fighting too many groups already. He is on the verge of collapse.

Oh, what a mess

It is not often that we see so much nonsense in one small post. Congrats.
