What surprised me this winter in CA. after all the rain we've had is everything is green instead of brown.

I drive Pacheco Pass to get to my daughter's house and in 13 years, it's always been brown...my last trip...GREEN!

Wife and I decided to drive from San Diego to San Jose on March 9 ........... took 5 to 101 north, stoped at Santa Barbara, Solvang and Hearst castle.... Side of the freeway was with lots of green and beautiful flowers.
Way back we took 152 east to 5 south. Lots of green, flowers and water all over, lakes and Aqueduct water is high.
Last time we did this was maybe 5 years ago.
