A Reuters/Ipsos poll has found that Americans view the media as the least trustworthy institution in the country, with 60 percent saying they have ‘hardly any confidence at all’ in the press.

Also, the poll was apparently about certain major institutions, not all institutions in the country. Poll respondents didn't have much confidence in the press, congress, or the executive branch.

It appears PBS is the most trusted news source of the list of 26 choices, with the best ratio of trusting most reporting to not trusting most reporting.
