This is what schools should do, with kids who have inappropriate names, or bad names for the time at which they find themselves in school.
Such as the teen girl named "Isis".

And other kids who may bear the name of historical crime figures, and the leaders of enemy military forces and regimes and famous bigots, or foul language, and religious deities, prophets, and leaders etc etc...

The school should send a letter to the parents saying this...

Dear mister and misses so and so, Your child has a name that we find to be inappropriate, in this case, your child bears the name ISIS, which is a terrorist group.
We understand you named your child Isis, long before Isis existed, and/or became a known terrorist group.

However, the name Adolf Hitler, Mussolini, or Tojo isn't accepted either just because YOU think it means something else other than the Axis in your personal life, or because that was your name before 1939, or 1941 depending on how you see world war 2.

The swastika, isn't accepted here simply because you want to continue the path of the swastika as it was (supposedly) intended for, in India.
We're not indian, and Germans certainly are not Indian, and they don't practice indian culture.

Isis just because it is a western name to describe a benign goddess, doesn't exempt her from the rules of this establishment.

You have 3 school days to enter an alias by which you want us to refer to her as.... or we will automatically nickname her "Student X".

If she fails to respond to either the alias that you provide, or to "Student X".... your child cannot attend school here.

:)

What schools should do is teach kids things like math, English, history, biology, logic. Schools don't need to weigh in on the names parents have given those kids.
