You're not the only person ejected from the State of the Union Address. In fact, if you'd complied the first time they asked you, this woman might not have been taken out so quickly. Apparently, the wife of Florida Representative C.W. Bill Young (R) was also escorted out for wearing a shirt that says "Support the Troops Defending Our Freedom." See, it's illegal to demonstrate within the Capitol building, no matter what the message. She'd have been escorted out if she had on a shirt that says, "Murder is wrong."

Ironically, I found this at DU.

The Anti War/communists movement must pay well, she doesn't need to work anymore.

There wasn't a damn thing in that speech to get that worked up over.

And as far as Cindy Sheehan is concerned...when one gets invited to a SOTU address---and I don't give a flying rat's ass if Satan himself is speaking....one needs to dress fucking appropriately.

She looked tacky. Not tacky enough to be arrested...but, tacky nonetheless.

3. I agree on both points.
She could have made a tremendously positive impact after the speech, because the media would have wanted to interview her. At that time, she could have said all that she wanted (hopefully leaving Chavez out of it).

Instead...she gets arrested and makes zero impact.

57. I couldn't agree more.
I'm sick of Cindy. I'm going to get flamed, but I really don't care. She's being counterproductive and making the anti-war movement look worse than it already does. I'm sorry she lost her son, but she has lost her grip on reality and she needs to get therapy. I know she's ya'll's hero, but I don't see anything redeeming in this woman for our side. She's making us all look stupid, and I'm sorry no one sees that.

WOW! I bet Duckie is BANNED today! He is wrong though, Cindy is not "making us all look stupid", she's just the window into the stupidity. Good choice of a mouth piece ain't she? :cuckoo:
