I just finished reading 'Born Survivors', Born Survivors - Wendy Holden - Paperback - a horrific accounting of the inhumanity of the Nazi's. Death tolls in the extermination camps and work camps were in the many millions - upwards of 6 million people in just a few years.

Anyone who tries to compare anything happening in the US today to what Hitler did then needs a reality check...badly. I've read many first hand accounts from survivors of the camps - documenting the unnecessary and unprovoked cruelty of the guards. There were only a handful with any sense of humanity, only a handful of the populace who risked their own lives to help - but far too few, far too few.
