"Stealing America" my response to the DNC's "Stealing Democracy" advert.

View the original. Then if you're bright, you'll see the difference.

BOOOOOSH got his "agenda" through with his co-dependency, wink and nod relationship with this corrupt Congress. They gave him all of his war spending, and he looked the other way on their mountains of crap they tacked onto everything.

Now we have a marriage, instead of a wink and nod co-dependency relationship. This cannot and will not stand, the voters want a adversarial relationship between Congress and the President. They've always wanted that.

I've always thought the US political system was one of the suckiest in the western world. Going from what I've seen on messageboards over the past 9 years, most Yanks agree...shrug...

Actually it's not nearly the worst. The problem we're having is we have criminals trying to go around the system. There is no honor in government in this country. It used to be we had a common goal....but now we have a bunch of Harvard grads that have learned to admire internationalism and socialism and they don't believe in what made our country great in the first place.

The founders and framers believed human rights were god-given.

Only if you were a landowner. Slaves, women and those who were landless would probably disagree with that assessment....
Again, they had their beliefs at the time. But they recognized times change, and created our Constitution so it could be amended.

Name one that is worse? That aside, if people can take advantage of it like you claim above, then it obviously doesn't work....

Greece. I can mention several more. You did say "Western World" which means any government that isn't part of the "Eastern World" is qualified.

Our system works but with any law there will always be law-breakers. The separation of powers is the key. If there aren't enough decent people in power to stop the few radicals trying to go around the law then you have a problem. One party rule is dangerous when the party concerned has sold out to outside interests like the Democratic Party has.

As long as power isn't centralized you have protections under our constitution. If Obama and the Dems aren't stopped now they will have complete control of government.

Careful, Blind Boo, you are offering thoughtful analysis, and Revere will not be able to follow it.

As early as 2005, I read economic managers who were saying that wealth that was making wealth rather than making goods and services translated into wealth would eventually break the system. One predicted the hedge funds would be the best example of the above and the amorality of wealth makers who did it at the expense of the economy and other Americans.

Funny....George Soros is a big--time Hedgefunder.

And that has what to do with anything?

You actually think those not of the right worship Soros or something?

Let's distinguish between the right to vote, and protection under the rule of law.

Even though there were disparities there, the ability to amend and rectify injustice was built into the Constitution. There was also the perception from some of the Framers that knowing the higher truth, and knowing what the Nation was ready for were two different things. Time, patience, and good presentation effect change in a more positive way, Correct??? So in effect we inherited a Constitution that is a living Document, only through Amendment, not Interpretive Imagination. So again we choose between integrity and corruption. Moral Absolutism V.S. Moral Relativism. Rule of Law and due process V.S. Arbitrary misuse of power and authority, which in my opinion damages the trust and foundation, just by it's contrary and contradicting nature, evident to anyone taking the time to see. ;)

I think the key is more in establishing Justice. Most any form of Government can touch on it for a time, the key is keeping Justice in it's place. Priority. Benevolent Dictatorships, Monarchies, can easily stray, even just from limited perspective. Any System can easily fail to serve Justice merely by accepting poor advice and adopting policies on that poor advice. Look at us. Voice, by introducing stumbling blocks, which the Tyrants, as much as they would like to ignore, can't indefinitely. ;)

This ain't exactly Heaven, with the Father, The Son, and the Holy Spirit, the 24 Elders, and the 144000 Saints making the hard decisions, and taking out the trash, now is it???

That's exactly what I said.

These idiots really put out a spot that basically says they don't want to see any job creation. Calling people "shills for big business" while 22 million sit at home, unemployed.

So, here's my response:

There is no America left to "steal".

From 2001 to 2008, Republican policies sent 2.4 million jobs to China. They subsidized and gave tax breaks to companies who trained Chinese and moved jobs to China. Those policies are still in place. Filibuster anyone?

All it takes is one simple search:

2001 to 2008, 2.4 million jobs moved to China

Just one simple search. Any search engine. Just five minutes. Use that phrase and see what pops up.

You act like that stopped in 2008. It didn't, it accelerated.

And those policies were hardly Repug policies. You keep pretending that the GOP "majority" was a working one. It wasn't. They couldn't do anything at all without a LOT of Dem votes.

I see there's no comment on the facts presented in the video. Again. Here's a re-post, for this page:

Libertarianism is simply not the answer, and it will never be applied here to the law. No worry about that. I do agree that both parties have their share of the fault in what happened, though I believe my party's abandoment of the working class since 1980 is almost unforgivable. With these elections coming up, I am very curious to see what is going to happen on the other side.

It's slowed. By the end of the Bush administration, America was losing 750,000 a month. That's right, a month.

It's difficult to just "remove" laws and subsidies and tax breaks that were put into place by a political party that controlled every aspect of government.

Look at the Bush tax cuts for the rich. They need that money so they can move more jobs to China and Republicans are fighting to make sure they get it. And the base is agreeing. Can you believe it? Talk about working against your own self interests.

Democrats are a diverse party of coalitions. They are fractured so it's difficult to work against a party that is 90% white, mostly Christian and votes for a communist country against their own self interests.

Clearly not by anything that was done. One must wonder if, like a bathtub, the outflow trickles to a halt once all the water is gone.

Those tax cuts for the "rich" are across the board tax cuts. If you don't know that, you'll find out come January 1.

Over regulation and punitive taxation, combined with union benefits and perks, is what's moving manufacturing jobs out.

Raise taxes! Yeah, that'll make those manufacturers want to stay!:lol::lol:

Alternate reality.

RNC had little control in the Bush years, barely a majority at all. Union's drive jobs away with unrealistic expectations and demands, same same with Government over regulation. Nice spin though. There is no substitute for "Value for Value". When Government Mandate exceeds Industry's ability to deliver, when the technology has yet to be invented yet, that in itself is a testament against Government. This isn't Never Never Land Sparky.

Suddenly when Obama needed something to make a claim to he turns Tax-cuts for the rich into the Obama Middle-class Tax Cuts overnight....like friggen magic. How did he do that? Could it be they were LYING!!!

And these brain-dead fools believe both versions and never question them.

Where's my bat. I think a few empty skulls need to get crushed cuz they ain't using them.
