I know of several people working a 40 hour job and receiving gov't assistance. I say give it to them as long as they are working. One cannot even feed themselves on minimum wage. Not possible.

Actually, this is meant more as sad commentary on the state of the state of... Illinois.
High unemployment, high taxes, burdensome regulatory climate, billions of $ of debt, unfunded pensions, and a workforce that is fleeing the state in droves.
