MADRID, Sept. 18 (Xinhua) -- Spanish defense Minister, Pedro Morenes has confirmed that Spain is to send a battery of 'Patriot' missiles to Turkey as part of the NATO mission to protect the civilian population from a possible aerial or missile attack along the frontier with Iraq and Syria.


Morenes explained that the Spanish missiles, which will be manned by 130 troops, will replace a Dutch missile battery, which is due to be withdrawn from the region in January 2015.

The Spanish forces will cooperate with U.S. and German forces in the region and the Minister confirmed that "Spain is in the international coalition against Jihadist terrorism."

Erdogan is hell-bent to making Turkey a fundamentalist Muslim nation.

From all the evidence in the last several years, it does look like he wants Turkey to become more Islamist, but I don't he wamts those crazies in ISIS to take over his country with their brand of Islam. Here's another article regarding Turkey.
