The post ignores a litany of cultural, political and socioeconomic factors that play into gun violence, or a lack thereof. The gross domestic product per capita, to name one, is $2,435 in Honduras and $84,733 in Switzerland, according to the World Bank.
Ah, money is the root of gun violence! And America being the richest nation on earth means.....
What's the gun violence in Cambodia like? ZIP.

That is just the beginning of the stupid comparison.

Honduras doesn’t "ban" citizens from owning guns.

The Small Arms Survey says the most popular gun in Honduras is the 9mm handgun, "which can be legally purchased and owned" — undermining the meme’s claim that Hondurans are banned from owning guns. Because this weapon is banned in nearby Mexico, the UN has said the difference in laws fosters the exchange of illegal weapons between the countries.
No one claims there are no guns in Honduras. But they do have one of the strictest gun control laws.

Do you enjoy spreading blatant lies?

A 2012 Time story about Switzerland’s gun culture notes how citizens hold their right to own guns as a patriotic duty, and Swiss children often join sharpshooting groups to hone their skills.

But, again, Switzerland does not require "citizens to own guns."
Somehow you skipped over that all Swiss males 19-35 are required to be in the Swiss military and maintain a fully automatic weapon at home. You also skipped over that Switzerland has the highest gun ownership rate in the world.

My statement stands: it's a heart problem, not a gun problem.

Your post says reguired gun ownership. Lie

They don't have the highest gun ownership rate moron. Lie

Seems you just post lies.

That is funny. Switzerland is one of the richest per capita countries in the world. How well is Honduras doing economically and politically?

Who cares? The question is whether gun control works to curtail homicides.

It doesn't.

There are countries on this planet with strict gun laws and high homicide rates, and countries with lax gun laws and low homicide rates.

And everything in between.

Every study I have ever seen shows no correlation between gun ownership and homicide rates.

Mark

The U.K. Does a good job avoiding mass shootings...

And? Its not because of gun control, its because of their culture. Like I said, there is no correlation between gun ownership and homicides.

Look at Japan. It has one of the highest suicide rates in the world(and one of the lowest crime rates) because their culture views suicide differently than most of the rest of the world.

Mark

Well being able to quickly buy weapons for mass killing sure doesn't work here.

If you banned "assault" weapons, do you think the killings would stop? The body count decrease? Let me remind you that the Virginia Tech shooter only used pistols, and that one of the pistols was a low power 22 caliber.

Mark

What was his magazine capacity?

Says the moron who claims money is the reason people murder.

Yes you "patriots" say let the terrorist legally and quickly buy weapons for mass killing. No patriot has ever said that.
Maybe Obama and Clinton should not have let Islamic terrorists into America.

Australia sure slowed mass shootings with gun control.

Do you care how the people died? Or is it just guns that you care about?

BTW, until the massacre of 35 at Port Authur that led to the gun ban, the largest mass murder was 15 using arson as the weapon of choice.

Matter of fact, the largest mass shooting before Port Aurthur had 8 deaths, so Australia didn't "slow" anything. In Australia, Port Aurthur was an anomaly.

Also interesting is that since gun control in 1997, arson attacks killed 15, 10, and 11 people. A knife attack killed 8.

10 of the Richest (and Poorest) Countries in the World

Where is Honduras?

I'm sure I could find a source that tells me Chicago is a safe place to live.
Grow a fucking brain. Until then, stick to sucking dick and acting like an idiot.

Easy access to mass killing weapons just killed 49 and injured over 50 with armed security and police arriving quickly. Yeah that works out well.

Well, you used Australia as an example, not me. The psychos went to arson to get the job done. I don't doubt ours would as well.
