june 8 2016CONROE, Texas — A Houston man convicted of drunken driving nine times since 1980 has been sentenced to life in prison.

The Montgomery County judge who sentenced Donald Middleton on Tuesday said the 56-year-old man is a habitual offender.

Middleton pleaded guilty last week to driving drunk in a May 2015 traffic accident.

Good, obviously the drug programs did not work for him, he is lucky he didn't kill someone or injure them badly. Won't be drinking in prison will he. Its a good place for him. I have 0 tolerance for people who drink and drive.

It shouldn't take 9 convictions to lock them up for life. We need a "three times and you're IN" law. Same with text drivers. In fact text driving is worse than DUI.
