Listen, Turnspeaker, paulitician hasn't made any anti-American statements. He's correct about military personnel having little or no respect for that snake oil salesman in the Oval Office. Since June I have attended 3 military reunions. Division, Regiment and Company. At the Saturday evening formal banquets we perform a few customs and rituals such as the Pledge of Allegiance, the Invocation, Missing Man Ritual, Cutting the Cake and Toasts, among other things. We toast the USA, the US Army, the Division, the Regiment, the Ladies and a few others. During the Clinton and Obama Administrations, the customary toast to the 'President of the United States of America' is not proposed. Instead the designated toaster says, "I propose a toast to the Office of the Commander-In-Chief." That fulfills the obligatory requirement of the toast and is a respectful response. To the Office and not to the worm who occupies it.
