If America were to turn to a 100% socialist or 100% capitalist society, which would you rather have?
Example - Capitalist Society
Example - Capitalist Society
- No state or Federal income tax for individual civilians.
- 10% Federal Sales tax and Corporate Income Tax (paid by shareholders).
- Roads paid for by local communities generating money out of own choice and then given to a local business so they can pave/repair the roads. Same idea with road salt, traffic lights, jails, schools, etc. Communities would then choose how well their area is "kept" by donating more money. Companies would "bid" on projects, making competition and lowering prices.
- Communities hold local meetings to discuss on how much government employees should make per year. If there's not enough workers who volunteer to take a government job, the salary would go up and down based on demand. The funds for government workers would be the same as above with utilities and road work fundraising.
- Businesses would charge prices based on what the market says the prices should be... Competition would lower prices and boost customer service experiences. Businesses would also not be required to have a set minimum wage.
- Businesses would not have to adhere to health codes in order to stay in business, but business could be negatively affected for an unhealthy atmosphere.
- Colleges could charge whatever they wanted to and would be 100% privatized with no financial aid. Scholarships would be built from funds like they are today.
- Laws pertaining to speeding and minor violations would be determined by the community members, and the same as regulations such as speed limits. If the community wants a highway similar to an autobahn, they can have one. Ticket prices would be determined by the community, not politicians.
- Government programs like food stamps, social security, medicaid, and medicare do not exist.
- 80% Federal and state tax (combined) on all businesses and individuals.
- 10% sales tax on all purchases charged to the business.
- Roads construction paid for by the government at a random company's quote. Other government expenses paid for such as road salt, traffic lights, healthcare, schools, etc., at government's choice of spend. Healthcare services and college, intermediate, and elementary education would be 100% covered.
- Politicians decide how much government employees make, not based on the free market.
- Businesses charge money based on government input with price regulations.
- Businesses would have to adhere to health codes or face a fine and potential shut down.
- Colleges would be state regulated and free and paid how much the government wants them to be paid.
- Laws like speeding are determined by government politicians' decisions only as well as ticket prices.
