We allways care what scientists have to say, especially those who don't corrupt science. Your "scientists" are specialists at that particular skill however.

Well, it has been a while. A bit before the Vikings time.

BBC NEWS | Science/Nature | DNA reveals Greenland's lush past

Armies of insects once crawled through lush forests in a region of Greenland now covered by more than 2,000m of ice.
DNA extracted from ice cores shows that moths and butterflies were living in forests of spruce and pine in the area between 450,000 and 800,000 years ago.

Yes indeed. And what was the CO2 level back then? When Greenland was truly green.

~270ppm about the modern average, pre-industrialization. The problem is that it takes a substantial amount of time (with regards to the average human lifespan) for natural systems to equilibrate to dynamic atmospheric forcing mechanisms such as CO2. According to paleoclimate records, the climate we have experienced the last 8000 years or so depend upon atmospheric ratios that are hover around that level.
