A couple of years ago I joined on an American investment forum looking for some insight into American stocks.I was astonished at the sheer nuttiness of these people.
They seemed to invest on the most spurious reasons. They seemed to look on it as akin to a race. Cheering on if a share goes up and shouting encouragement if it went down.

Cmon lets hit 50 today. Get behind it everyone. Go Acme!!!!!!!

That was the level of debate and analysis. I suspect the trump investors were at, or below that level of insight. After a few months of laughing at these idiot I cancelled on them because my brain was rotting.

Anyone who invested in DJT without doing their homework does so at their own risk. Really bad stock, and I stay this as a Trump supporter. Trump casino bonds were a bad bet in the 1990's, same situation.
